Put tension on the case either with a come-along or by blocking at front of case and raising back of tractor slightly and maybe adding some weight where you want the case to split, also a few raps with a deadblow hammer or a block of wood and a big hammer will get the job done.

i just split L2550 by raising tractor at the very rear using the weight of the tractor, sounds like you need to bolt it back together at the clutch housing to make this work. good luck.

My bx2200 pto takes a minute or longer to engage after I move the lever. It use to only take a few seconds to come on after the lever was engaged. I just replaced the hydrolic pump, oil,filter and cleaned the strainer which solved my other issues. This problem seemed to come on after this work...
