Picked up the o rings this week, and finally getting into the tear down. Man, they really make you take a lot of stuff out just to get to these… i have half a mind to just cut out enough of the battery holder to access the fittings below.

Found the leaky fitting. After cleaning it up there was some o ring visibly blown out. I did snug the fitting up a touch which slowed the leak. Looks to be the line that articulates the bucket. I’ll order up replacements tomorrow. Since I’m this far in, should I just replace all of the o...

Jinxed it, rained all day today. I was able to dig into the leak a bit more and looks like it’s coming from the manifold. Read some posts from guys that just had to tighten things up, others had to replace the lines. Here’s a quick Video of me poking around.

Finally got around to getting it back to level. Still has a leak, but has noticeably slowed. Mentioned it to my local dealer when I stopped in for some mower parts and they printed the same picture that @North Idaho Wolfman posted and said it was likely the culprit. I’ll look to address it...

Ground on the back of the wiring harness was out. Popped it back in and everything is working as it should. now lets just hope I can button it back up without tugging it out. thanks for the help!

Tried the old panel again and it lights up just fine and the gauges that worked before still work. Went back to the new panel and same issue, only dim turn indicators. The only difference is that the replacement kit has a line that runs to the positive terminal of the battery. No dedicated...

Im gonna pull it back out this afternoon and see. It is the full kit with the panel and wiring harness/adapter. Old panel worked when I removed it (other than hours meter) so i’ll pop that back on and see if that works too.

Got it running today! A little smokey for the first few minutes and then it cleared up. I was told to go easy on it for about 10 hours and then change oil and filters. Only issue is my hours lcd is blacked out. From a bit of googling it seems to be common on these and I’m probably looking...

Spot on, as always Wolfman. Once I got it routed correctly I found rather significant wear on the hose. I’ll grab a new one, but want to make sure that doesnt wear the same way as the old one. Not sure if the issue was belt tension, hose routing, or a combination of both

Running into an issue with the lower coolant line from the radiator to the water pump. I checked all the before pics I took and I can’t figure out the proper routing. Seems way too tight to the belt and a pretty hard kink.

Just got the call this morning, the engine is ready to pick up today. I hope to have it back in the tractor and running this weekend.

Quote came back at $3400 for a warrantied rebuild. It’ll take about 3 weeks to get it back. Until then, I’ll go over the rest of the machine per the WSM and OPS

Been working off this WSM which covers the D902-E4B. Not a perfect match, but pretty darn close. Same goes for the OPS Manual, it's for a BX23S. Still a D902 but the loader and backhoe are newer. Thanks!
