For additional strength/rigidity and to reduce condensation problems inside. We do get quite a bit of snow here.

Just about ready to give her a workout!

This one survived me as a Sh*t for brains teenager. Babied she wasn’t! But rust free and still has original numbers matching drivetrain. Apparently you can’t blow up a 383!

‘68 383, automatic, one of 447 factory air cars, probably the only white over maroon stripe delete cars left on the planet. My high school car, bought her in 1975 for $400. Original paint with plenty of dents dings and primer

    What is Messick's Smoking

I’ve found that calling them and asking them to find a better shipping option is worthwhile. I did this on my last order and they were very helpful. Set up priority mail at about 1/3 cost of their shipping calculator, which is completely hosed.

Thanks for the info. I’m going 6” on the slab so 25 psi is probably better.

I might put down foam and plumb just to it’s there for later. Still need a trench and natural gas line.

How long ago did you build your house and garage? Material Prices and labor are pretty crazy these days😵‍💫

1500 sf of foam plus 1000+ feet of pex is anything but cheap . That plus a boiler would add over $10k to the build. So no, I’m not doing hydronic. I’m insulating and installing the wood stove I already have.

Just about ready to give her a workout!

This weeks progress, 18 poles set, 4 to go. 2-1/2 pallets of 80 lb bags. Good thing we had a couple 20 year olds working for us!! Frame out next week.

Turns out an 18” is easier to control and takes a lot less concrete. This 3-point mixer is invaluable for setting pole-barn poles. One load of 8-10 bags sets one pole. Hydraulic top link makes dumping easy. Have to run the engine at idle to keep from spinning drum too fast though and rear remote...

    Steering knuckle Seal

So in going through the maintenance logs of my L2850, I noticed that the Dealer had replaced the bearings and seals in the front axle. However, the left steering knuckle is leaking like crazy and Messick’s wants $72+ for one seal! I’ve found that going to a bearing house usually saves a lot of...
