Thank you for the input. Lifting holds ok with lowering speed valve closed Even overnight. With the lowering valve closed I can still raise the implement but only at a point maybe 3/4 up to the top.

I have a 1986 L2550 and I want to replace the hydraulic oil filter. The problem is I can't find one like is on this tractor. I have looked at two and they are all different too. Mine is long and appears to gave a bolt that goes all the way up into housing. Any info would be appreciated.

Yes it bounces along with the hitch . I tried raising the hitch and killing the engine. It does drift down. Not fast but down in a matter of seconds. When I say control is moving I don't mean the handle. I mean the feedback rod.

I copied the required page but am having difficulty loosening the the front nut. Is in a bad location. Also noticed the position control only starts raising when the control is near maximum height. Could the feedback arm just fall out of adjustment? It's not been touched since 1986.

The 3pt hitch drifts down at whatever speed is set on the speed valve under the seat. It raises normally and begins to shake when raising action is stopped. Actually everything works normally when the down speed is closed except it won't go down of course.

This sounds similar to my problem except mine happens in faster cycles. Also was grading our road today and noticed the FEL drops a little when the 3 point is bouncing. I have a Kubota L2550 with a BF400G loader and when I float the bucket the 3 point hydraulics fail to lift it's own weight. Just something to watch out for.
