    L185F headlight bulb

Almost 12hrs later and this post saved my bacon. I got the bulb clip off before removing the lens, so the bulb was bouncing around inside. Goofy old semi-sealed beams. Thank you Russell!

    1980 L185DT Hydraulic issues

The loader uses the tractor's pump, rated at 6.2gpm @2300rpm new. I'm usually puttering around 1500rpm so the pace isn't swift in the best of circumstances. Air in the system has me stabbing at the foot throttle. I'll leave the non-leaking cylinder alone then, so it can bite me next month. :/...

    1980 L185DT Hydraulic issues

Hello all, Tractor novice here. I grew up around ancient gas Fords but rarely did more than using and the simplest maintenance. Hydraulics were limited to the 3pt which never had issues. Now I'm running into hydraulic issues with our 1980(?) Kubota L185DT. It has the L1700 loader. 1) One of...

    BX1850 or BX2660 for 5 acres

So I landed an older L185DT. After all the advice here I'd been gravitating to 30-35hp L models above my intended budget, then this thing appeared with a loader and box scraper for a song so I couldn't resist. 650ish hours. Starts immediately, burns clean, clutch and hydraulics all work fine...

    BX1850 or BX2660 for 5 acres

Ag tires? Right. I've done that late when everything is dry but the rest of the year may as well drag a plow. The two BXs have turf tires. I meant to ask, how would industrial tires do for mowing? They seem much less aggressive, like for gravel and pavement. Maybe ok on lawn near max pressure?

    BX1850 or BX2660 for 5 acres

Dan My last tractor was my grandfather's 9N, but my brother has that now. I've been tempted to grab another but space is more of a premium here on 5 acres vs. 100s. I nearly bought an old B7100 but it would have been a project, and our garage/shop won't be up before spring. The hunt...

    BX1850 or BX2660 for 5 acres

Great stuff. Thanks all. I'm leaning towards the bx2660 for the loader, but it is $3k more. Pretty much what a bx loader would cost? Its mower deck is a 54" vs the bx1850's 48". 650hrs vs the bx1850s 200. I'm still on the lookout for a good stand-alone mower if I should be so lucky. That would...

    BX1850 or BX2660 for 5 acres

We're shopping for equipment for our newly purchased 5 acre home and could use suggestions. I've considered starting with a separate mower, maybe zero-turn, but they all seem disposable these days. Hoping tractor versions will last. I've found both a BX1850 and BX2660 with low hours. The BX2660...
