    Thanks All, for the info about restraining chains. I think this may solve my issue. Eyeball inspection looks like there may be some interference between the chains and the lift arms on my tractor, but I'll need to mount the mower to check for sure. I was wrong about the hitch not floating...

    First season using my new-to-me B7500. Most of my tractor use is spring mowing of tall grass. My ground is hilly and uneven, so I usually need to adjust the cutter height a lot for bumps and berms, etc. Without position control of the hitch, it's a fiddly operation to get the cutter height...

    I lifted the seat and toolbox and managed to free it up with vise grips and penetrant.. looked like it was rusted where the shaft went into the housing.. Tha ks

    I found a diagram online, the control valve. Can't be sure if it's inside or outside the case. I'll pull the seat and take a look.

    This tractor is new to me. It has 700 hours on the clock and seems in very good condition. I have the factory book, but it has no information about the hitch hydraulics. There is a knob under the seat which I believe controls the speed of the hitch motion. The knob seems frozen. Won’t budge in...
