    Finally had some time to get into this. The first thing that I found was an issue was the internal snap ring that holds compression on the seals was in about 4 pieces. I can't rely on the old clip dimensions but the bore is 1 7/8 so I assume that's the size I need? Which would be a SR300-187.

    I'd like to keep this machine for a good long while and it needs a paint job. I was gifted 3 gallons of Case IRON/GARD enamel. Not to look a gift horse in the mouth but I'd like to make it orange. Does anyone have recommendations on what to use for dye? This paint is lead based.

    I checked the free play and it's about 1.5 inch so I left it. I've been running the machine almost everyday for hours at a time. The sound has not happened since I posted about it so probably just a dry bearing.

    It's odd that it will start up and run fine then randomly start making the sound. The starter needs to be serviced anyways. I takes a few times to get the starter to actually spin.

    I can replace the pump if needed. I pulled an exterior staircase today without any issues. Any specific place to get the shims? I did not measure them when I had the valve apart.

    I dunked it in gasoline and worked the valve with the set screw removed until all the filth was out. I put the set screw in the same amount of turns as it came out and reinstalled.     I removed the FEL pressure relief and sure enough it's filthy. I can clean most of it but what's the trick to getting the 2 halves separated? Push down on the retaining wire and pull apart?

    I believe the hose routing is correct Block forward position to FEL in. Block rear position from power beyond. FEL out to case return. I need to get the pressure reading from the power beyond line at the block rear position.
