Not orange, but tractors y'all might appreciate

that is a heckuva maintenance schedule! Thanks for asking and sharing. I didn't have time to chat them up when I was there.

Not orange, but tractors y'all might appreciate

Last month I used the water taxi service into Abel Tasman National Park in New Zealand. The operation was pretty cool: First they load you all into the boat while it's on the trailer, in the parking lot. They drive it down to the shore, then if it's low tide out across the sand as much as...

    Using the WC88 chipper

Surprisingly to me, the manual that came with my Woodmaxx chipper said that dry wood dulls the knives faster than green wood. Surprising, because it's the opposite for table saw blades where the pitch buildup causes overheating. Anectodal experience has confirmed that the chipper seems happier...

Pin Shear with snowblower fully raised

I took the adjustable stop that's on the low side of the 3PH lever and moved it over to the high side. Then you can use to it to create an upper limit for the implement (and protect the PTO shaft).

    better blowers?

I like this analysis. I don't know the age of my blower, but maybe LP learned something and revised the design to put the supports behind the screw helix.

    better blowers?

BTW last year I tried an application of this stuff that somebody here recommended: Absolute debacle! It made everything stick much worse.

    better blowers?

My 'toxic trait', as the kids like to say, is that I almost never buy a device without deciding some aspect of it could be better designed or engineered. Today, it's my LandPride SP1064 snow blower. With a wet snow like we had this week, it never clogged in the second stage or the chute but...

Drilling and Tapping my ROPS for LED Lights.."OH The Madness"

I also went this route, but then had to source extra-long riv-nuts because the standard ones wouldn't hold - the ROPS material was just a bit too thick for the riv-nut to get proper expansion.

    Hydro fluid change

ouch. And here I thought the 4 gallons in my LX3310 was a lot... My vacuum extractor holds 10-11 quarts. I'd think about using that. Even though it'll take 6-7 cycles, you can pour neatly from the extractor into whatever container you want.

    a little hydraulics help for a n00b...

sealant: since I have some Nylog Blue on hand from a heat pump installation, the teflon tape can stay in it's drawer this time. I appreciate all the advice.

Getting closer. The existing male end is 3/4" diameter. It seems that these are ISO 5675.

I'm building an implement that will use my Kubota 3rd-function. These are the 3rd-function ends: I cannot decipher the markings on them to correlate with connectors to buy. Is this the correct set to match them? https://www.hydraulicsdirect.com/product-p/qd-agc-set-forb.htm Thanks in advance.

    A winch on my 2502

Tip: you can buy cheap 4ga jumper cables online for a fraction of the price of regular 4ga stranded wire. I'm sure the wire isn't of the highest quality, but IMO the duty cycle limits of the electric winch motor means it won't be running under heavy load long enough to cook the wires.

Tool Tray on ROPS - Any Reasons to NOT Put it Here?

I built something similar. The only downside I've found is that it limits your view of the 3ph... which is why I made it easily removable just like you did.

    Greasing your machine....The hate/hate relationship.

I don't use brake cleaner on painted surfaces. After wiping, I'm partial to citrus degreasers. I like the stuff sold for cleaning bicycle or motorcycle chains, if you can find a bulk-size quantity so it's not overpriced.
