Looks like rust on the right side of the picture. The adjuster could be rusted also. Keep spraying it with pb blaster. If it is really rusted it might need to come off for more attention.

The shaft is held onto the splines of the gear box by two set screws in the inner race of the outer bearing. when I get home this afternoon I will take of picture of it and send it to you.

I snow blowed the drive today. Half way thru it stopped turning the auger. I assumed the sheer bolt broke. Went in and got a sheer bolt. Removed the cover found the bolt not broken. Shaft moved out away from the gear box. Got it back together and finished the drive.

I have looked at a couple new tracked machines. I put my name on one of the 75 hp tracked units from Kubota. The units on order come with wide tracks,high flow and ride control. They are supposed to come in April. We shall see. Thank you for the input.

Do they flicker when the tractor is not running? If so that tells me that it is the cheap China lights. If it only does it when the tractor is running. Could be the alternator putting out a little AC voltage. LED lights do not like AC voltage/current. Could be causing the flicker.

I have chronic Lime disease and a co infection. It has been suggested that I try Hyperbaric oxygen to help possibly get this under control finally. Have not tried it yet.

When we move out of Massachusetts in 2001 we were paying around $4200 property tax for a 1000sf ranch on a half acre. Moved to Kansas bought a 2800 sf two story houses with a 1200 sf garage. The property tax was $608 a year. Big difference. More free people in Kansas.
