The mounting faceplate was thicker, setting the in and out ports back. The bolt pattern for one of the outs was wrong so I had to drill the flange with 4 additional holes. It was tough to get right because of the limited access. I eyeballed the locations and adjusted with a dremel. But it works...

Thing is an aftermarket pump on ebay is around $400. Made in China but beats the 2k plus on Messick.

Steering was partly lost. The wheel jerks when I steer more than 30 degrees from straight.

Thank you all for replying. The Hydraulic oil was heavily contaminated with water which probably contributed to the pump wearing out. I ll get an after market pump.

I appreciate the input. Do you know of any specific, vulnerable points that I should check on the suction line?

That's pretty much what it did, slow hydraulics and then it stopped producing pressure altogether.

So embarrassingly enough ... it was the remote valves levers having being knocked in the wrong position(I don't have a manual so I don't know where they should be when not in use). I played with the levers and the 3ph and fel started working. It may not help anyone on here but just in case...
