    Missing bolt

I know this is an older thread, but I unfortunately tried to chase this down before searching the forum. LX3310. The hole in the seat bracket is smaller on the left side than the right side that has the shoulder bolt/spacer. So, that bolt won't fit. Odd that the casting is threaded and...

    First Snow...

My LX was delivered about a month ago, minus the 3rd function valve (unknown back order date). So the dealer is holding the front QA blade w/ hydraulic angle. I think we're going to settle on delivering the blade in manual config this week, and send the tractor back in the spring for the 3rd...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Bora. I think I got a discount code from Good Works tractors (where I bought my quick hitch, since the land pride one was so delayed). Easy to install, just tricky to make sure the loaded wheels didn't get out of hand.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Didn't grab a photo of it in use yet - but I've got my first tractor just over a week ago. About 2.5 months from order to delivery, but the 3rd function kit isn't in yet. I've got some sections of my 5 acres that the zero turn isn't able to do. Those spots haven't been touched since...

Tips for drilling through steel plates?

Agreed - Hammer drill mode will not make for a fun experience. Also, there are some charts available online for cutting speeds - bigger drill bit, slower speed.

    BORA spacers

Are you doing front/rear or just rear? From what I can tell, the OEM Kubota ones for the LX (the series I'm looking at right now) are 1.5" rear only.

    New property - SWPA

I’ll find out in about 1.5 weeks - I close on the 18th and the mower should be delivered that week.

Thanks for the info. My concern is that there is a ditch at the bottom of the slope, which means a “down the hill and back up it”, versus some kind of circle or turning around.

Henro, I certainly get what you’re saying. My only preparation to tractor ownership is this forum, YouTube, and a couple friends with tractors. The common theme is to consider buying bigger than you think. Buy once/cry once and all of that. That’s the main reason I’m questioning above a...

    New property - SWPA

Thanks! What size did you choose, and what reasons make you wish you had a bigger one? I'll remember the tire comment as an option. I wish there was more concrete info on Center of Gravity dimensions, because that would change my thinking a bit if I knew whether the B01-LX-L were more or...

Correct. In a national forum, I’m considering that SwPa :)

I’ll be up just outside of Harmony. I should be on-site for an inspection next week, so I’ll try to get some grade measurements from my phone as well as general dimensions of the front slope.

Interesting. I would think snow would be a challenge as well. I’m leaning towards R14 but R4 would be fine as well.

Good to know. What would be the turf tire downside? I’m not sure we get enough snow north of Pittsburgh for a front mount blower. I think the blade will work most of the time, except once every 4-5 years.

Main reason to nix MMM overall for most of the property - cost of my time. That's where the ZTM comes in. I don't know how long the main yard will take me, but I'm expecting a ZTM to save a ton of time compared to any tractor + MMM. For the steep part, I don't think I can do it...

    New property - SWPA

Thanks. If I did end up with a brush hog off of the back for the steeper parts, I think the mass of the LX would be more noticeable. Hopefully the same for plowing the driveway. Otherwise, I do think the B01 is appropriate.

    New property - SWPA

Hi folks, I shared a post a few months ago, but I didn't close on that home. Now, I'm closing on a different property here in SWPA. 5 acres. Former farmland, house built ~2 years ago. ~450ft sloped gravel driveway (which i think i will need to remove the stone and use more of a...

Looking for some beginner tractor advice (B/LX + implements)

I tried on the tractor. He’s keeping it. He sold a chunk of the implements at a large auction on the property last year (with 3 parallel auctioneers). They had an antique shop on the property so they had a lot of stuff. A grapple is on my must have list. Part of the reason I’m leaning...

Looking for some beginner tractor advice (B/LX + implements)

I do have a few outbuildings - 2 @ 2000 sqft, 1 at 800 sqft. One of the big ones is the garage for projects, and the other is more of a raw pole building with concrete floor for dry storage. So I will need to get close to some buildings. That's probably the biggest unknown for cab/no cab...

Looking for some beginner tractor advice (B/LX + implements)

Skeets, Great point. I will be with the homeowner next week for the home inspection and to go over the maintenance items - water system, wood burners, etc. I planned on discussing the tractor items with him. Sizing, implements, etc. They built the land 27 years ago, so they know quite a...
