What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I set the pond fence corner posts in the post holes previously drilled. All 15 of them. I’ll make the connecting supports & weld them in over the next couple days.

Awesome dogs / Crazy pets Thread

My daughter’s apartment building burned (careless smoking). Her dog woke her up & gave her those precious seconds to get out of harms way. I am treating this pup very good (like usual). She is a Pit/Aussie cross rescue animal.

Fiddle farting around on the farm.

Do you care to state what caliber you carry? Just curious. I do as well, on my property, but nothing more than armadillos, or an occasional Prairie rattler for me to deal with. Ok, maybe a coyote too. I usually have a Ruger SP101 (.22LR) on my hip or in my tractor holster.

Drilled 16 post holes for a fence around a pond. Posts will go in tomorrow.

    L4701 HST Hydraulic fluid

My 4701 “screams” under a load. The intensity of the scream is proportional to the amount of the load. It is possible you hurt the transmission with the wrong fluid. Could it be possible you are hyper-sensitive to the noise since you know there might be a problem? I would run it a while & see if...

Anyone know of / bought from Catawba Attachments?

I too am not sure of the legalities. EA didn’t really break any new ground with their implements IMO. They just used top drawer material, controlled their process, great welding, just improved on what was out there. I still am a big fan of theirs. It is to bad about their business acumen.

Anyone know of / bought from Catawba Attachments?

I hope they go right down EA’s product line & copy, copy, copy! There are some more implements I want.

Photo shoot anything lately? Random Photo Thread

The tree was mostly dead & close to a fence. The fence will be replaced this year, so I would have removed the tree at some point. I was not disappointed that it was gone. I’m guessing the woodpeckers will be unhappy. Yeah, I didn’t realize how well the orange stood out, until I reviewed the...

My pasture burn ignited this tree, which almost disappeared by morning.

Photo shoot anything lately? Random Photo Thread

I found my 1st morel of the season. It was too bad the pasture fire found it before I did. It is kind of dry now. A little rain & warmth, would get them going.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Oops! The brome is growing great. The native grass (that needs burning) has lots of dead fodder. Look under the loader in the background. That pasture didn’t get grazed much last year.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

It is close to 1 year old. The stove, & the building the stove will heat, has not been constructed yet. That wood will have more time to season. The building should go up in May. I’ll build the stove in the Fall. In the background, there is plenty more wood that is 4-5 years old.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

My wife helped me move some Hedge that I cut, out of a pasture. Some of the Hedge will be posts, but most will become BTUs. We plan to burn the pasture soon.

He has an interesting hairdo. Is he easy to manage?

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

You are 100% right. Neighbors have an obligation to notify other neighbors of burning. Your neighbors will be the 1st to know & 1st to be affected by the burning. IMO, it’s common sense & how it is done in my neighborhood.

I don’t know about the bull, but I like it.

Photo shoot anything lately? Random Photo Thread

I assumed I have short horned toads because of the distribution. I believe this is a Texas horned toad on the northern end of its range. Crap, I just burned 13 brush piles where I saw the horned toad. I hope I didn’t destroy their ecosystem. I can see how the decaying wood would attract ants...

I have not targeted any insects. I am not aware of fire ants in my vicinity🤞. I am guessing the short horned toads are around because they have found a niche to exploit. I plan to do some research to learn more about them. I might get a TCU T-shirt😜.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I have been working on the trees/brush for a couple years. There were about 80 acres involved. I’m glad to see these brush piles gone. If the weather is right, I’ll burn again tomorrow. It is bad when you can’t do what you need to do on your own property. It sounds like you have adapted.
