Signs of “Bigfoot” sighted in Kubota neighborhood??

That’s awesome…well done. 👍 Im not sure what type of wild life you might have to get a ‘sample’, but some mule deer / or elk marbles might be interesting to leave a pile of…otherwise some cow patties, maybe.

Grass rows, are very annoying how to avoid? Using the MMM.

I am assuming you are sweeping the grass to keep the lawn looking manicured / nice, correct? (You could try mowing it with the deck raised, and then drop down on the second round - that’s only going to help if it’s a little shaggy…if it needs to be raked teeded and baled, not much you can do...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Today I got caught up on some wood and mowing. Cut up a load to haul home and then I went and mowed and checked out the spray zone for future pollinator habitat, cleaned up some storm damage, found a small leak on the new top link (I gave you t half a grunt) and now it’s time for some fresh air...

Thinking about under fence weed control

Are you wanting to trim and maintain, remove, or eliminate weeds from the ground to bottom of fence? As I read not wanting to poison (I am assuming that means no chemicals), but to me that means most likely require regular maintenance. Is that correct? if wanting to maintain I’d suggest a...

Kubota Advice: Buy and Fix up L5030HST, or Get Newer TYM?

If worried about reliability (ie. older kubota) why is a newer TYM in the DA? That doesn’t seem like tech / reliability concerns is real, that sounds like a little birdie. And that is fine, but how is that a fair comparison?

    Attachments that use PTO

Good day. I can’t speak for all, but many non kubota brand implements pto shaft will work just fine…at least the ones I have do. Unless something unusual it’s should fit I suspect. (I’ve never bought an implement where I was asked the brand trsctor so it nascent it’s common) as far as figment...

    BEE KEEPING

Thanks. They have gotten a bit of bad press IMO, but I have not been at this hobby so long to be stubborn just yet. The tubes and bucket worked out really well. I Just now I came in from collecting the first harvest. When I pulled the taps/hoses off the hive, the bees seemed to think I was out...

    BEE KEEPING

It’s a bit of a long story… my spousal unit decided to buy the most expensive hives she could find…they are called flow hives. I think the goal has been to make the most expensive jar of honey 😉. sort of serious but I do believe if there was an Olympic event for most expensive jar of honey we...

    BEE KEEPING

Good day. Today I set up a manifold (so to speak) and this will be my first attempt at a harvest in 3 years. So I plan to give it some time and check later today and see how we did. 🐝 🍯

"Burnishing" your new brakes. WTF......... Now I've heard it all. (I'm raising the Bullsh!t flag)

After the SIL toasted the brakes…If it were me, I think I would be buying the SIL an abacus 🧮 and a set of pads for upcoming birthday / holiday. getting the brake pads seated really is a thing (although I’ve never heard the term burnish until this thread, or at least not paid attention to...

    Bucket list? Fork-it list?

My brain is mush at the end or day and end of week for that matter. I have to put my to do items on the whiteboard (yes, I really have one in my barn/shop 🙄).

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

To my knowledge there is nothing wrong with cold composting…it may take 6 months or longer. depending on what putting in the pile, the hot method should kill seeds in the areas of the pile it gets hot enough. I have a similar bin set up with pallets…I’ve found my forks to work really well to...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Good day. Assuming the pile is moist, probably turn it every 3 days or so if wanting it to be hot/compost faster. (Ideally it should be aerated and kept moist). 👍

Bat house/kestrel nesting box pole construction critique and suggestions wanted.

Great question…I don’t know for certain. we have heard a bard owl multiple times towards the back of our property (not sure for certain where it is). I have not gone to look in the box to see if in use as I am a bit of chicken - chit to go up on a ladder and look in for fear of it coming out...

Bat house/kestrel nesting box pole construction critique and suggestions wanted.

Good day. sounds like a fun / interesting addition to your savanna project. (I installed a bard owl box last year on my forestry project) I have a couple thoughts or questions: 1. If climbing a ladder a concern how about raising and lowering the post/pole? How is that going to work? (I...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

This afternoon I made hay in the front yard and then raked it up. While scooping piles of grass with the bucket, the sheriff drives past real slow with its lights flashing and a silver minivan with some sign on following, and I just assumed they were looking for someone. So I get ready to...
