A little help from anyone with an M62?

All of a sudden a few weeks ago it felt like our M62 was a bit slower at the usual Medium HST settings. If anyone has an M62, could they check what its speed is at the Medium gear range with the Rabbit setting? On level ground, ours is going about 6km/hour. This would be a big help before we...

    M62 suddenly slower…?

I'm not sure about reverse... The Kubota service manual doesn't even have the word "servo" in it. Thanks

    M62 suddenly slower…?

Thanks for asking. Yes, the slowing seems to be both "turtle" and "rabbit" although a bit more noticible in rabbit.

    M62 suddenly slower…?

Here’s a bit of a head scratcher. We tend to run our M62 HST at medium high-low. Suddenly last week, at either setting, it feels like its running about 20% slower. At 1500rpm on level ground, its going about 6.5km/hr. 600 hours and everything else is working fine. All fluids are fine and full...

    Fuel Filter Replacement M62

Used the tractor for a few hours and the problem is gone - interesting that the bleed proceedure in the manual doesn't work completely.

    Fuel Filter Replacement M62

Just changed the fuel filter on our M62. Did the recommended bleed sequence. Tractor is starting but hesitates at start. Usually starts on the 1st crank, now it's taking two cranks. Ran it at 2000 RPM for a few minutes, but the hesitation at start is still present… any recommendations? Thanks...

    Broken Tooth M62 16" Bucket

Called Kubota and they confirmed… they sell a specialized spiral spring pin at $8 each. The thing that threw me off for a few minutes was that the actual pin diameter is less than you would think from looking at the recess. But it actually came out pretty easily.

    Broken Tooth M62 16" Bucket

We broke a tooth off the 16” bucket of our M62. The underlying shank looks fine. Are these held in place by standard roll pins or special Kubota pins? Thanks in advance for any help.

Kubota Suddenly Running a Bit Warmer?

No problem with the joystick...it just seemed odd not to be lubricating it. We lubricate the backhoe controls once a year... Thanks.

Anyone know how to lubricate the M62 loader joystick? Thanks

Kubota Suddenly Running a Bit Warmer?

Thanks - very good advice. This machine is not used agriculturally - its used to move logs in our woodlot. The radiators always look essentially new. We're going to measure the temperature - still don't know why it changed one day to the next....

Kubota Suddenly Running a Bit Warmer?

Thanks - will do. Does anyone know where the temperature sending unit is on an M62?

Kubota Suddenly Running a Bit Warmer?

No flush - the dealer had it in their shop and didn't think it was necessary. Any idea why a sudden change from one day to the next? Thanks.

Kubota Suddenly Running a Bit Warmer?

Thanks - we've ordered an infrared device. Fan belt is tight. Engine oil looks fine.

Kubota Suddenly Running a Bit Warmer?

We have a 2 year old Kubota M62 with about 400 hours on it. In all the time we've had it, the temperature has never gotten above about 1/3 of the measurement dial. We always assumed this was normal. Suddenly, from one day to the next, its temperature is right in the middle. This was surprising...

New(ish) Kubota M62 With Filthy Hydraulic Oil

Thanks. Attached is a picture of the fluid left in a jar for a few months – as you can see, there’s a whitish sediment layer at the bottom…

New(ish) Kubota M62 With Filthy Hydraulic Oil

UPDATE I’m not gonna say this is the most fun we’ve ever had with a new tractor😊. To review: We noticed at about 200 hours that the hydraulic oil on our new M62 looked less translucent than we were used to - did an oil change and it looked pretty awful (see previous pictures). Sent it off...

New(ish) Kubota M62 With Filthy Hydraulic Oil

We’ve been getting all the advice we can and I think the explanation from rScotty sounds right – “Kubota delivered without flushing or adequately flushing the hydraulic system”- we know that the dealer didn’t do most/all of the dealer prep because of other things that got missed. We’re doing...
