    Best decision I ever made

I noticed the same thing when I got it, but looking at the 3FV they installed, I don’t see how they could run them inside the loader arm. Just something I have to watch for for sure. 👍

    Bushings

Do they make Cat1 to cat2 bushing that is about 4 inches long? I’ve got an RCR1860 cutter and trying to hook it to a cat2 MX series tractor. The bushings I have reduce the cat2 lift arm to cat 1, but the slide out of the lifter ballpoint when I’m using it since there is about 4 inches of...

    Best decision I ever made

the L2800 is a great little tractor. I may keep it. I just needed one with a loader and capacity to move downed trees and hay. That wasn’t the L2800. I may keep it though. I’ve got a small section of pasture across a creek on the back of my property. Used to have horses on it that kept it cut...

    What’s a good asking price

I hate guessing too. But that’s kinda in the ballpark of what I was guessing as well. Thanks

    What’s a good asking price

2005(ish) Kubota l2800. 2wd, turf tires, no loader. Gear drive. Good shape cosmetically. 300 hours. Fuel and temp gauge don’t work but otherwise everything functions as it should. Looked around the Google but could t really get a handle on what they go for without paying for a sub.

    Best decision I ever made

I debated for a year on cab/no cab. Can’t tell you how happy I am that I got it. No more undressing outside before I can come in the house.

    Best decision I ever made

I like them a lot. Good traction and they aren’t really bad on the turf. Get into something wet thought and they’ll leave a mark.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Exactly what I said after getting mine. Why the heck didn’t I get it sooner.

    Best decision I ever made

I put off buying this tractor for several years. Didn’t want to write the check. Convinced myself that my L2800 with no cab or loader was enough. I was being foolish. I’ve put more time on this machine in two weeks getting things done than I put on the L2800 in a year. The loader and...

    Very pleased

Growing up and on into my adult years, I operated a MF 165. A 60s model that was just a tad older than me. Once I bought my own little ranch I used an L2800 that came with the property. I came to realize two things. Three actually. 1. I’m getting older and the heat takes more out of me...

Appreciate it man. Hoping I like it. Was a big check to write if I dont lol

    Slip clutch

maybe a bigger cutter eventually. I don’t really need anything wider than the MX as I only have 13 acres of horse farm. I already had this one so I figure I’d use it. The loader and the grapple I got for downed trees and clearing privet on the overgrown sections is more useful to me than the...

    Slip clutch

I’ve got a new mx5400 coming in the morning and was hoping to get that rotary cutter clutch slipped and working correctly so I could use it this week on the MX, assuming the PTO shaft is long enough. If not, I gotta get that thing off anyway to put on a new PTO shaft. OR sell it and buy a new...

    Slip clutch

The manual is iffy tbh. There is a shear bolt in it and not whatever than conical thing is. And the side covers they talk about are two covered holes on each side of this big plastic shroud that covers the entire slip clutch assembly. They are there so you can access the spring and bolts...

    Slip clutch

Yeah. Can’t move it at all. And I did note in the manual that it shows no clip. Assuming the safety chain is the fail safe in that scenario. I think next time I have a chance to fool with it I’m just going to soak it with penetrating oil and put a gear puller on it. That yoke is...

    Slip clutch

Thanks. I already have it back together so I can use it, but the part I’m trying to get off is the part this guy is pulling off at 3:49 in this video. He says he uses pb blaster, but with the big plastic protection cone on mine (missing on his) I can’t tap it with a hammer or anything...

    Slip clutch

I was able to get the sheer bolt out and remove all the bolts and springs. Having done that I can get the PTO shaft off and have access to the tractor side friction plate. The problem is that the steel plate in between the friction disc slides onto the drive coming out of the PTO gearbox...
