Kubota mower deck RC60-71B, the gear box oil leaked out

I'm needing to do this on my RC72-B mower (same gearbox design from what I can tell) and don't see how this is possible with snap ring #150 still in place. I'll report back, hopefully later today

    RCK60-27B Mower Problem

If it were mine, I would loosen the belt and position it so I could spin each blade at a time without any interference from the belt. If the center spindle makes more noise than the other two I would feel relatively confident a bearing was bad. However, even if they all sound the same it COULD...

    RC72-B Driveshaft Length on B2150/9200?

Good morning, Yesterday I obtained a RC72-B for my B2150. The driveshaft seems pretty short compared to photos I see online of a new one (Part number: k5671-32010). The female end is pretty chewed up on the inside, which is quite surprising considering the otherwise excellent condition of the...

    Possible Hydrolock - Cause

As an update to this, I obtained a new Kubota head gasket and torqued everything down, set the valves, etc. Before installing the intake and exhaust manifolds, and the glow plugs wanted to spin the engine over to get everything oiled. Coolant shot out of both the intake and exhaust ports, and...

    Possible Hydrolock - Cause

Because I lost the gamble on using the Chinese knockoff rings that came with my Kumar Bros. rebuild kit, and every cylinder is now scored. Therefore, I get to split the tractor again so I can rehone the cylinders without contaminating the main bearings. I was very careful with gapping the...

    Possible Hydrolock - Cause

Yes, I did do all of that. Head is still flat, too. Thankfully my Chinese knock-off starter doesn't have as much giddy-up-and-go and the offending cylinder must have been near the top of its stroke so the engine didn't have much momentum when it hit.

    Possible Hydrolock - Cause

Pulled the head last night. Sure enough, gasket bad between 3&4, who knows where else. $115 + tax for a Kubota gasket. Also, I get to rering the engine at over $100 per cylinder for Kubota rings. Absolutely outrageous what parts cost for these tractors.

    B7100 Head options

Is this the head you need? 15371-03040 Coleman Equipment, the Kubota dealer near me, has two listings for that part number, one is only $837.09. That is for a B7100B-P, and the B7100HSD-D for whatever that's worth.

    Possible Hydrolock - Cause

Number three was wet, precombustion chamber soaked as well. Of course with the diesel that has come out of the lines as I removed them, everything smells like diesel now. It certainly doesn't look like bright green coolant, but it would be coolant in a precombustion chamber. By far the cleanest...

Will do, thanks for the advice.

    Possible Hydrolock - Cause

I hope you're right, pulling injectors is a cake walk compared to other tasks. By the time I remove enough parts to pull all the glow plugs, it's not much more work to pull the head. Would a dirty injector possibly cause this? I had brand new caps over each injector and the delivery valves...

    Possible Hydrolock - Cause

That certainly makes sense, I just wasn't sure what you meant. I just pushed it in the garage and stopped for the day. Thankfully feeling much better today, so perhaps will dive into this more after the kids go to bed.

    Possible Hydrolock - Cause

Everything was prelubed, even cranked some before putting in the glow plugs. I was able to move the tractor, I had the clutch pushed in and in neutral, so not sure what you mean. Still feeling under the weather so haven't had the motivation this evening to start working on it. It's a pain to...

    Possible Hydrolock - Cause

That's the plan. I won't be surprised if that the issue, but with all the fuel I was smelling as it blew white smoke - and no smell of coolant, which unfortunately as of late I am nearly an expert - I'm not betting on it being coolant, either. I think I want it to be coolant. Side note, fuel...

    Possible Hydrolock - Cause

B2150 with V1200-5B engine I have a possible hydrolock on my hands. Yesterday I started my tractor, let it warm up a little at a high idle, then went to hook up to my 3-pt finish mower. Noticed the tach was jumping around weird, needle went way past max RPM (engine did not), but hour meter...

    kubota grey paint

From the Rustoleum Webpage: SKU: Tractor & Implement Spray Paint 772492 It does not say which version of Kubota Orange this is, but Post #6 here says this Rustoleum matches the NEWER Kubota orange, called "Orange II"...

    kubota grey paint

Good thing none of this is applicable to the conversation at hand, as the information has not changed and the products are both readily available. I bought the Rust-Oleum at Home Depot and the Kubota paint at the Kubota dealer. My opinion on the matter is that if the information is "obsolete"...

    kubota grey paint

I know this is an old thread, but the fact I found it in a search on this topic means it's not dead. I decided to do a comparison of the Rust Oleum 7784 Charcoal Gray to the Kubota 70000-00210 Dark Gray. The Kubota matches the frame/engine/etc. on my 90's era B2150. The difference in real...

    B9200 Prop Shaft

Thank you. I'll add some grease upon reinstallation and hope for the best. So far I've not had much luck with this tractor.

    B9200 Prop Shaft

Thanks! I was fighting that snap ring for a long time from underneath before I finally crawled out from underneath to take a deep breath. Then I looked down and realized I could access the snap ring if I held it up against the bellhousing opening :cautious:
