PTO slip clutch adjustment - burning up discs

I rebuilt the clutch for the 4th time. I bought new springs and for good measure I also replaced the bolts. No issues now.

PTO slip clutch adjustment - burning up discs

Yeah, it is really frustrating that Land Pride uses so many PTO setups on this attachment. They really use just two, but in each case there are obsoleted parts. I did narrow down my specific PTO and spring height spec. I did run a machine straight edge over the clutch faces and each one checked...

PTO slip clutch adjustment - burning up discs

pretty sure… I ran the disc over the faces to clean them up, light pressure and moved quickly. I’m going to rebuild the clutch, set the springs to 2 turns beyond snug, then run the PTO on/off a couple of cycles to bed them in. I’m also going to put the PTO in eco mode to get to 540 at lower...

PTO slip clutch adjustment - burning up discs

The manuals are all online. But the bolts have tensioning springs, which makes torque irrelevant. Damaged body work

I wish I had taken pictures of the hydraulic lines. Within 5 minutes the tractor had lost all of the hydraulic fluid and was inoperable. I climbed under and looked in amazement at how bad everything appeared. I walked back through 20 acres of pasture and called it a day.

    Damaged body work

Thanks. I’ll try to answer the questions in no particular order. 1) not Brit, Not a Florida native, California, but my wife is so I am half human. 2) Bonnet… just going off what is in the Kubota parts catalog. Hood, yes. 3) not repairable. This isn’t one of those “it’ll buff out” things. I was...

    Damaged body work

I damaged the bonnet on my M5. It is functional and my lights work, but my OCD about things being right is going to get to me eventually. Before i head to the dealer and pay top $ for new parts, can you recommend any sources for used parts?
