The ball hitch is a car hitch modified with a piece of pipe to be held in by the draw bar pin (not my engineering, but very useful). I can take a photo of it if you want. We only ever use it with a small car trailer, we lift the link arms up full and never have any issues with it colliding...

I can tell you for sure that the rear spotlight was added just before my uncle bought the tractor second hand. It was mounted on a piece of angle iron welded to the left handrail with a very shaky hand! The bracket is still on the handrail, I just haven't restored the spotlight to fit it yet...
