1995 L35 that sometimes seems to not go into gear.

How much is the clutch housing? Does 3900 sound about right for the labor and parts with the houseing?

I have heard that was an issue. Hopefully the new clip will make it so this never happens again. Once I get it back I will post a more detailed list of what they fixed. I know there were some other things they said they would do when they were in there.

1995 L35 that sometimes seems to not go into gear.

Update: I got the call today and the problem is a C-clip broke in the transmission. They are going to start it as soon as all the parts are in. The cost to repair is not as bad as I thought it could have been because the older machines split a little easier. Very happy to have things finally...

I am sure the tractor is going to need to be split. I just want them to be 100% sure of the solution and make sure that they get everything when they pull it apart. Nothing would be worse then having to pay them to split it again!

Update: They are shipping the tractor to the lead mechanic for the entire company. Will see what he comes up with.

Who can I send a transmission to have rebuilt?

I am not saying he is or is not qualified I have never used them before. I just always second guess everything and try and keep looking at all options so that when things happen I am ready for the next step.

Who can I send a transmission to have rebuilt?

The pulling it apart does not scare me at all but I have done a lot of mechanical work. Even going into the transmission does not freak me out. I just want the transmission to be tested if possible before it all goes back together. I don't want to have to do this twice! LOL

Who can I send a transmission to have rebuilt?

As Potreeboy said the transmission is an GST transmission.

Who can I send a transmission to have rebuilt?

I currently have it at the dealer but while the mechanic is a SUPER nice guy I am not sure how much he knows about this particular transmission. They have a guy at another store that he has been calling to try and diagnose it. After we talked about the dry clutch he was going to do some more...

Who can I send a transmission to have rebuilt?

I have a 1995 L35. The transmission is going to need to come out I think. Still waiting on results from the pressure testing but it slips when it gets warm. I am thinking about splitting the tractor myself but want to make sure that everything is 100%. So was wondering if there was anyone...

1995 L35 that sometimes seems to not go into gear.

Update: After dropping it off at the dealer they took a look at it. Unfortunately it is going to need the clutch in the transmission. Going to head over in the next day or two so that we can take a look at things and see how much it is going to cost... :-(

1995 L35 that sometimes seems to not go into gear.

Update: A after replacing all the fluids I am still having the same issue. It may be a very little bit better but certainly not what it needs to be. I am currently trying to get in touch with people to find someone that can diagnose it properly for me and then I can figure out my next step...

So those hoses seem to go all over the machine. Up into the engine, radiator? I looked at connectors as best as I could and everything seems OK? I am going to look again one last time but if it was leaking I would think I would see at least some staining/moisture?

1995 L35 that sometimes seems to not go into gear.

Update. Yesterday I put all new Super UDT 2 fluid in the machine and put a new filter on. It seems like maybe it improved things a very little bit but it is still slipping. Going to call the dealer today and make an appointment for them to do all the testing. I will keep you all posted as we...

1995 L35 that sometimes seems to not go into gear.

Again thanks you for your time to reply! The power steering has never been an issue at all. It always works as it should. I have the machine loaded up on the trailer right now. So when I get it up to Maine tomorrow I will take a look at those lines because it is easy to do while it is...

1995 L35 that sometimes seems to not go into gear.

I did purchase the manual and have been slowing trying to understand things. I would drop it off at a dealer in a second but they are all 4-6 weeks booked out. Based on your suggestions I did test and when the tractor stops moving forward the PTO is still moving. Not sure what direction...

This seems to be heat related. It runs for about 20 min or so then starts to slip.

I was trying to figure out how to describe that noise LOL.

I also tried to move the shift lever around and see if an adjustment may be needed but that made no difference.

1995 L35 that sometimes seems to not go into gear.

So it messed up on my today. Nothing I seemed to do would get it to go hard into gear. It was like the clutch was slipping. When I started out working it everything was awesome would push hard into the pile and I was psyched. Then as it got warmer it seemed to get worse. I would go into the...
