Kubota Service Insurance Offered on New Tractor Purchase

We're only glad we have insurance when we need it. It seems if we have it, we don't need it. If we don't have it, we wish we did. Tractor Gal

    Smart guys, SOLAR

Don't forget, "boys", women can do things, too. I installed two systems...one very small in the barn and one small for the house. The 16 panels for the house are wired through a combiner box from which 4 wires come into the garage. From there, there is a breaker cut off prior to each of the...

    Weird BX23 Electrical Issues

I, too have a 2004 BX23D and have been very pleased with it. The hard-to-start bug hit my little machine and it was annoying. Eventually, it would start. From what you have said, the trouble you have had was greater than mine. Cleaning all cables and ground points would be the first step...

    Need Advice (Desperately)

Interesting replies from those who know...to run from the buyback idea. In knowing a little of their knowledge and skill, trusting them may be the best thing in this case. Hope you find a good solution, whatever it is. TG

    Need Advice (Desperately)

Snakebit, I don't have capability/knowledge to give advice...only empathy. I can't imagine the shock of seeing this. Hopefully, the insurance will do the trick by covering everything and you can get the tractor you want and need. OTOH, despite how it looks, if it's a "total loss," buying it...

One hour job takes..... Too long. Like this post.

On my BX23D, in order to access the filter, it was necessary to remove the bonnet until I bought one of these. Now, it's a snap. Well, nothing is really quite a snap. With the MMM attached, it's tricky to get a pan to catch the draining oil and the oil from the filter removal. BUT, it's a...

    Hydraulic Oil Dye

Interesting info, for sure. The JD I have purchased is never "pasty"...totally liquid. That small bottle has treated 2 changes of hydraulic oil in my BX23D. But, if there are other bargains out there, go for it! We know that the green brand is always overpriced. :) TG

    Hydraulic Oil Dye

I guess if you want to spend $130+ for something that won't be used for the life of the tractor, this would be a good purchase. The JD bottle will treat for multiple hydraulic oil changes, depending on how much is added to the new oil. Just sayin'. TB

How to check hydrolic level in l2501

I posted this above but just to be sure that you see it, I'll post again. I've used this and it works great. It's not green, it's red! :) It's getting harder to find for some reason so you may want to grab it if you don't have anything else. https://www.ebay.com/p/1052411518

    Hydraulic Oil Dye

The JD dye is getting harder to find. Here's a start for some on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/p/1052411518

BX2670 intermittent Starting Problems - how to troubleshoot?

Maybe others will chime in with information pertaining to what I am going to post since my knowledge is only skin deep! Many people here are "born to fix." I don't know how similar your BX2670 is to my BX23D, but I (and others here) experienced intermittent starting, too. After mine...

    techno geeks

Since it appears many of these robo calls are not successful, I wonder what they will try next in order to make entry to us? Or maybe, there are enough people who do answer and fall for the "pitch" that they will keep doing it for a while? TG

Believe it or not, I have had calls that the ID showed it was my own number calling! Had to laugh when I saw that. I'm like others...if I hear the phone ring, I wait to see if there is a message. If no message left, I was glad that I didn't answer! Tractor Gal

:) Guess that's me after all. Who knew? :)

B9200 3-pt controls don't work after hydraulic oil change

OK, good to know. There have been quite a few posts comparing hydraulic oils, etc. Since this is a new member and possibly someone new to Kubota, I thought it possible that if the wrong oil was used, it could have made a difference. Wrong once again. :-) I am batting 1.000! TG

B9200 3-pt controls don't work after hydraulic oil change

In the OP, "acceptable oil" is listed as the replacement. Was this oil the recommended Kubota Hydraulic Oil, such as SUDT2? This may be what was meant but I'm just checking all the boxes. Tractor Gal

    L275DT - Turn key, nothing

Back to the battery...I had a battery load tested at a place that sells batteries. They said it was good. After trying many other things, I took the same battery back and had a different person load test it. It was dead. So, be sure that you know the battery is good. And, maybe you already...

    bx24 hst service question

Or, you could use the outriggers on the backhoe to lift up the right side of the tractor, put a block under the wheel and let 'er rip. TG

    bx24 hst service question

If you're only talking about changing fluid and filters, the backhoe does not need to be removed. Tight quarters but workable. At least on the BX23D, that's the experience. Tractor Gal

    Tractor under water

Yes, as mentioned, "things can be fixed." But, let's not forget in 20 years how our physical strength/stamina diminishes. Plus, now the equipment to re-do everything may not be working so it's just a heartbreak all around. My area is close by and somewhere around 5+ inches fell here. Only a...
