I noticed that with the wheels off and tractor jacked up, only the left rear wheel turns when I put it in gear. The right one turns only when I press the diff lock down. I had a seared off gear on the right wheel that I replaced (it's the one that holds the brake drum). Is there more damage...

I wanted to change the brake pads on my very used orange and found that the right differential shaft was sheared off right at the brake drum! I found a new shaft and I'm waiting for it to ship. Anyone have any tips on changing this part out? I have the shop manual but it seems that they do it...
