    L3901DT Hydraulics Not Working

Dan, THANK YOU. I hope somebody helps you some day when you need it! After watching a few YouTube videos, I removed and disassembled my W.R Long spool valve. It had a very small piece of debris that was causing the spool to not center itself. I used a probe and lifted it out then sprayed it...

    L3901DT Hydraulics Not Working

Dan! If your still out there and willing to give me just a tiny bit more advice please? Being a total newbie at hydraulics I’ve really delved into learning how my system works and where all the hoses go. I’ve really been trying to learn! I think I may have diagnosed what my problem is...

    L3901DT Hydraulics Not Working

I did not actually unplug and then plug it back in, because it sure LOOKS fine, and have ”looked” at it several times. Ok, very first thing I will do is unplug and replug it back in. Simpliest thing and all… Thank you Dan, your incredibly helpful. Rick in Oregon

    L3901DT Hydraulics Not Working

I disconnect the hose from the quick connector, (kind of under the seat), plug in the backhoe or log splitter hose into it, and then the plug the other line back to the tractor. Dealer installed backhoe, and it and the splitter have always worked very very well.

    L3901DT Hydraulics Not Working

Very much obliged Dan. I will try that later today. It occurred to me: Last fall I was swapping the hydraulic log splitter between this tractor and an old John Deere Hydrostatic tractor, and not thinking anything about it. Until I realized that I was also trading “bodily fluids” between them. I...

    L3901DT Hydraulics Not Working

I think I made an error in my diagnosis. I just remembered, when I manually pushed in the button on the third point solenoid it did actually open the grapple, but I could not close it by pushing the other manual button. Later this afternoon, I will retry the manual buttons again and also try...

    L3901DT Hydraulics Not Working

Dan, thank you very much for taking the time to give me that advice. It took me a little while to learn where the solenoids were and how to remove them. I was able to remove them both and it did not change anything. I also put it back together and tried manually moving the valves and nothing...

    L3901-Hydro. hydraulics not working

That would have been SO great if it were that! Hmmmm, ctualllllly, I didn’t check that now that I think of it…. I checked for leakage everywhere but only uncoupled and then decoupled the third point quick connectors. I‘ll check that rear backhoe hose first thing in the morning! Thanks!

    L3901DT Hydraulics Not Working

Thank you Dan. I will try that tomorrow. Picked up all my filters today and chatted with a tech at Kubota. He said he’s seen some with faulty thumb switches for the third function that will give the symptoms I’ve got. Maybe a fuse? Also mentioned if the third point limiter switch is out of...

    L3901-Hydro. hydraulics not working

Yes!! Yes I do! Although it’s not actually on the tractor at this moment. I have a box scraper on it now, which is the only reason I know the 3 point doesn’t work. I had the backhoe as well as the third function, installed when I bought the tractor. And they have always both worked flawlessly...

    L3901-Hydro. hydraulics not working

The tractor drives down the road seemingly fine, power steering works fine. The 3 point and bucket functions don’t work. Neither does the third function grapple. I can sort of raise the bucket up if I curl it at the same time but when I do the reverse to lower the bucket, it falls quite fast. I...

    L3901DT Hydraulics Not Working

I’ve got a very similar problem with my 3 year old L3901 only it’s a hydrostatic. It drives fine and I have power steering but the three point and bucket functions don’t work. i will change the filter tomorrow but wondering where to access this suction screen?

    L8430 stabilizer kit ???

I have it and like it although, two comments: When run with the R4 tires it’s a very close call with rubbing the side walls of the tires at times. Its important to keep an eye on it, and get the linkage set up with as little slack as possible. Also, I recommend you get, or make a spare part; the...

Tractor stalled and now will not start - any ideas

Hi Sparty! The resulting joy found after dealing with a non starting tractor is truly profound, isn’t it? Sadly, I myself find the need to start my own new thread on this very same subject. I wanted to ask you one question though, as I’m confused with the fix being the starter. You wrote that...

    Top n tilt

i feel like the thread resurrected itself nicely! Some good advice, and I’m taking heed for sure… And also, I will be saving up so I can have both tilt and top. Just when I thought I was done, having just installed a 3rd function and grapple. Sigh! Thanks to all!

    Top n tilt

Dang, I was super excited to start reading this thread, but the actual subject somehow got totally derailed. Now there are at least two guys looking for sourcing options other then the two sources previously mentioned. I’m also more confused then ever in regards to which hydraulic function...

EverythingMoneyAttachments. All the money up front?

A post recently made makes me question whether EA has greasable pivots on their grapple? Hope so. Heard there is a possible grease shortage coming…wonder if they’ll make us pay up front for it soon… I’m in line with 13 weeks to go… What a snarky thread!
