Thanks for the suggestions. I've confirmed the dynamo output at idle and full throttle and get the values you listed. I'll get the other data you suggest and see where to go from there. I have a DVOM.

I'm not sure the components are accessible. I'll check. Probably full of potting.

If the regulator is nothing more than a rectifier, I'll check the output to see if it producing DC voltage or nothing at all. Thanks.

ZD-21 will not charge. Battery loses charge after about 6 hours of running. Charge and works fine for 6 more hours. I've tested the dynamo and I'm getting AC voltage that varies with speed of engine as it should. I've also testing it off the machine by hand spinning and it creates AC voltage...
