    BX2200 starts in gear

Put in a new K1122-62250 NSS. Everything operates correctly ! The switch that was initially installed was either mis-packaged or was defective. This should have been caught by the shop, never installed and never released by the shop, working the way that it was, but they made it right...

    BX2200 starts in gear

Thanks to both you guys. Based on what that thing is doing, I believe the electrical system has to be based on the 2230. It certainly isn't working right with the double switch only closing with continuity across one side, unless of course there is another problem somewhere else. I'll try...

    BX2200 starts in gear

Have never noticed another switch like that under left rear. Have seen the PTO switch and one switch for the PTO selector lever which are on the left under the fender that are activated by both those levers

    BX2200 starts in gear

OK, I think you're right, & I think I have this figured out. In looking at the schematic for the 2230 ( assuming this is the right drawing for the tractor model I have, which I think it is ) both sets of wires in the NSS need to have continuity at the same time to make everything work properly...

    BX2200 starts in gear

I'm sorry to be contrary to your last statement, but when the blue & Y wires were on the other side of the switch, the tractor started in gear. This is what ESERV said early in the thread, & I believe he's correct.

    BX2200 starts in gear

The switch currently installed is as follows Continuity in neutral across BW & W wires, open across Y & blue Open in neutral across BW & W wires, continuity in high or low range across Y & blue.

    BX2200 starts in gear

I'm attaching picture of serial plate & checking with shop to see what part # they ordered. Not sure how switch could be wrong, it's a switch, so it's either off or on, but I'll get the info.

    BX2200 starts in gear

I don't think that's quite right, as I said, the NSS is now wired correctly With the lever in neutral, the switch is closed and has continuity & the tractor starts. That's how it should be, but then, again, the tractor stays running in gear when I get off the seat. What doesn't make sense is...

    BX2200 starts in gear

The plot thickens, I'm really confused now. I now have the NSS wired correctly. The tractor starts in neutral, but not in gear. However this is what it's doing now. The tractor will turn off in neutral when off the seat, but will continue to run in gear when I'm off the seat. ( this is the...

    BX2200 starts in gear

I believe that's how I have it wired now, but I'll double check in the morning. You've been extremely helpful. Thank you.

    BX2200 starts in gear

It must be a very late BX2200, definitely not a 2230, and yes, the wiring diagram for the 2230 is the correct representation of the start circuit. It is all very confusing. I ran into another problem years ago ( don't remember what is was) because wrong part was sent to me that was for earlier...

    BX2200 starts in gear

Thanks for all the replies. I don't remember this tractor ever being able to start in anything but neutral, and now itonly starts in gear. I wouldn't think Kubota would allow a safety hazard like that. Sure, the HST pedal in neutral would keep it from moving, but still doesn't seem right to me...

    BX2200 starts in gear

The tractor is a 2004 BX2200 I am moving the 4 wires in the neutral safety switch, which is a split switch and yes it has continuity where it should with plunger depressed. It has 2 seat switches, which are also working properly. This tractor has never started in gear since I've owned it new...

    BX2200 starts in gear

I recently had my Neutral Safety Switch replaced, the dealer ( Non Kubota ) changed the wiring in the plug because he couldn't get the tractor started. The tractor now starts in gear, high or low, but not in neutral. I have gone through all combinations of wire placement in the plug, but none...
