L4060 HSTC and L4760 HSTC Differences?

Just wondering if there was a few minor tweaks that could be done to bump it up a few hp, another 5 would be nice. If I bumped it up too much with the current frame, I'd probably start breaking some things.

L4060 HSTC and L4760 HSTC Differences?

An almost 18% HP increase is nothing to sneeze at if it is just a few adjustments. I'm not concerned with my current front axle load at all, I carry what I carry and that wouldn't change ... so far the L4060 handles that just fine with the stock HP. The extra HP could help with increased power...

L4060 HSTC and L4760 HSTC Differences?

The 4060 and 4760 are both normally aspirated engines (yet the same engine), no turbo... but that could be a follow up question, what if I added a turbo, but I also realize the frame is slightly different once there is a step up to the L5460 & L6060, but still the same base engine. The 54 & 60...

L4060 HSTC and L4760 HSTC Differences?

After spending many hours comparing various part numbers, I could find ZERO difference in the engines between the two, so the horsepower difference is most likely a change in the computer. The only difference I did find between the two tractors overall was the front axle. The L4060 P/N is...

Safe Trailer Towing Capacity for L3901 - I'm Confused.

The above 2 posters have hit the mark. It's all about the tongue weight. A trailer like this (https://midsotamfg.com/trailers/dump-trailers/mini-dump/) would probably put you at around 600# tongue weight with a 3/4 ton load capacity. Also keep in mind the CAT 1 rating ... 2,000# limit.

New guy, first tractor, cant decide

Look carefully at the PTO HP requirements for the implements that you want to use now and in the future. I found that 25HP (from the PTO) was the minimum that I could get by on for my particular requirements. I ended up with a 40HP tractor with a 32HP PTO. They also say to buy 1 size up from...

PTO problem... Basic Warranty or Powertrain Warranty???

If your machine is financed it should be covered under the Kubota insurance no matter what (at a $250 deductible) - but much better if under warranty.

    Locking Fuel Cap for L4060

I've search around for a locking cap on the internet without any luck. Anyone use a cap from a different model with any success? I would have thought the filler cap would be somewhat universal, but apparently not.

    Kubota or Aftermarket Attachments

I don't want another small engine to maintain and winterize. I'd still have to hitch it up for transport. My luck I tow the thing out where I need it and it doesn't start or I forget the gas can in the garage and have to run back to get it. I don't mind if I can't use the FEL at the same...

    Kubota or Aftermarket Attachments

Most of the trees (~60%) are 12" or less and the the remainder are less than 24" with a few exceptions. I figure once everything is close to squared away, I could rent an excavator for a weekend to finish things up if I really need to. It was all farmland 40-50 years ago.

    Kubota or Aftermarket Attachments

Hi everyone, my 1st post here. I am about to pull the trigger and buy a new Kubota. It's between the L3901, L3560 and the L4060. I am clearing 8 acres, putting in a large garden area, small livestock area, building a new house and a few outbuildings. Realistic goal is completion by Oct 2020...
