Ok. So remove the plug. That makes sense thanks. I have never had to do anything except replace the hose on the loader. I appreciate the help. If I can get it all working, I hope to post a detailed thread on what I needed to do to.make it happen for the next guy.

See pics above. The new valve I ordered does not have a port where the return hose that goes back onto area where you fill the hydraulic fluid, near the dip stick. Do I have the wrong valve? Sorry guestion in the next post

Will I also need adapters for the in/out ports and the power beyond sleeve?

I need to replace my controller. Very sloppy linkage and I can't float the bucket. I have read some old threads that recommended an after market replacement that was pretty much plug and play. However the links are not active anymore. Does anyone know which controller would be best?
