    BX 2380 set up

Digging compacted material with the loader, I'm not a fan. I prefer to loosen things up with another attachment and use the loader to scoop it up. I'll use the hoe or the box blade to loosen the hard rocky soil I have then employ the loader to remove/relocate it. I didn't buy a piranha edge...

    Is it possible?

I have a BX23S with R-4 tires and I have never liked plowing snow with it because of poor steering in the snow. I generally leave the backhoe on for counterweight and remove the loader as I have a stand alone plow. The other day I removed the loader to mount the plow and although I am aware...

    BX hydraulic backhoe thumb build

Nice idea, I'd like to have hydraulics on the thumb myself for the same reason I don't want to get off and manually adjust it.

    Bucket Mount Snow Plow

Darn nice idea, beats tying it down with chains or straps. I didn't get a QA for some basic reasons, loss of loader capacity, cost, and I really don't need it for anything else. I do agree that those old vehicle plows are heavy, I put a 6' on the BX last season and cut it down to 5' this...

    Box blade snow removal

I would use the loader. I have found a box blade to be a pain in the neck for pushing snow and if pulling snow of any amount it's always full. A BB is great for scraping a hard surface, back dragging short distances. A pipe over the bucket edge, edge tamers, or slightly tipping the bucket...

    What fuel to use

Am I correct in assuming that #1D is kerosene? I had an issue last season plowing and want to avoid a gel up when temps are below 20f. I was using treatment when it happened at -2, fortunately I was able to limp it back to the shop. I was thinking of mixing 30% kero with the #2.

Are there any implements for sorting rocks from dirt?

I made a grizzly BX sized for sifting rock out of dirt. It's made from scrap lumber, 3/4EMT conduit and conduit clamps. Sifts out pretty good as long as the dirt is dry. I move it around by picking it up with the loader bucket. Mine is made for removing large rock but with a screen could do...

    arrgh and sigh...

I didn't waste my time trying to get warranty on a 1 year old tire, for 76 bucks and 10 minutes at the tire machine problem solved. Inspection of the failed tire showed exposed and frayed cords on the inside of the tire about 3 inches long in the area of the fail. Sometimes it's just easier to...

    arrgh and sigh...

My neighbor and I refer to those bumps as tumors. I suspect they are caused by all the loader work since I have another neighbor who has no problems with the tires only difference she hasn't mastered filling the loader bucket yet. Don't feel special the neighbor who shares the tire issue has a...

    BX winter prep

Last winter I had 2 occurrences of a fuel filter gel up with the BX23S and I want to avoid that this season. Which is in everyone's opinion the route to take, run fuel additives or mix up a blend of kero/diesel for winter operations?

    Studded tires

I saw in another thread about using studs in the tires over chains. I have a BX23S and there doesn't seem to be enough room for chains without spacers. The R4s aren't as good as the R1s on the old machine I get a lot of side slide on the front and wheel spin depending on the consistency of the...

BX 2230 no start after rebuild

Re: BX 2230 not start after rebuild Well diesels pretty much only need fuel, air, and compression to run sounds like your missing one. How far of a tear down did you do, is the cam in time with the crank? Is the injection pump in time? Do you have compression? Did you bleed the fuel at the...

Help, box blade width for on B2650 w/cab

I'd stick with a 60. A 500 lb box blade full of dirt can be a tough pull with a 26 hp 2000 lb machine.

BX 23S & my BH dolly

I did not have to use the outriggers to get mine on the wood dolly. The position of hoe on the dolly combined with the proper height allows you roll or cam the lower pins up and out of the lower hooks. I've unhooked my 23s and a friends 25d using the outriggers and the dolly is the cats meow...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Picked up the materials for a 200hr service. This machine rolls up the hours pretty fast compared to my old machine, it's 35 years old and I've managed only 1200 in that time.

    Strange phone number

We have gotten to the point of not even answering the land line, leave a message! Anyone I want to talk to has my cell and I don't bother answering calls that aren't in my contacts. The landline call volume is absurd I probably get dozens of robo/ telemarketer calls to one actual call.
