I changed out the oil, using Shell ROTELLA T5 10W-30 Synthetic Blend, Heavy Duty Engine Diesel Oil, with a new filter... Hmmm, the hydraulic whining is back, when just driving around... it was nice while it lasted.

Kinda funny... because i bought the tractor from Messicks... and it came with lots of hydraulic whining... lots of possible parameters at play, but there is certainly improvement after replacing oils and filters. I wonder what they use for hydraulic fluid on their assemblies.

uh oh.... No Mobile 1 was generic AutoZone 10W30. Kubota Manual Page 47... just says: SAE 10W30 or 15W40 Shall I assume I am changing the oil again, with a different oil?

Thanks that did work. The fitting that the end of the hose was not leaking, was taped.. made me nervous.. but there was a swivel adapter at the cylinder that easily loosened, leaked, and allowed me to connect. thanks. in hind sight, that was really obvious... they should really have some easy...
