    Adding ballast via free weights...

BCP, That's exactly what I'm looking to do, except without the implement. I'd like to hang them directly on the lower part of the 3pt hitch. Since it's a BX2370, the 3pt hitch holes are 7/8 inch so I'll have to put a 3/4 inch bar across them.

    Adding ballast via free weights...

Looking for some advice on adding free weights (the kind you find in a gym) to the back of my Kubota BX2370. I've got about 300lbs of free weights I'd like to suspend between the lower arms of my 3pt hitch. My thought is to put them on a 24" stainless steel bar (3/4" in diameter). My...

    3pt hitch question...

So, does that mean I'll need to get a bar that is 3/4" or will a 7/8" bar fit? I'm thinking the former, but just wanting to make sure I get the right thing.

    3pt hitch question...

So, I'm thinking of putting a metal rod between the lower two arms of my 3pt hitch to add ballast weight, about 300 lbs. What is the largest diameter metal rod that will fit on my BX2370? It's my understanding that the diameter of the ball is 7/8". Does that mean a 7/8 rod will fit in through...

    FEL and mowing...

So, where does everyone buy diesel at? Locally, the most convenient place is Speedway gas stations, but I don't remember seeing the Cetane rating (how is that even pronounced??) or any other specs to know if it's "good stuff". Just wanting to make sure I get into Kubota-healthy habits...

    FEL and mowing...

So, I'm new to the Kubota family, buying my first one last week. A 2014 BX2370. I plan to use it as a mix between a mower and using the FEL around the property as we do a major addition/renovation. So, my question is, do most people take the FEL off when mowing? Or just if they know they...

So, I finally bought my first Kubota

Thanks for all the info guys. Being new, I certainly don't want to do anything to damage the machine due to inexperience. The big thing was knowing whether the ballast weight (I was guessing about 300lbs) can/should be supported by the 3pt hitch, and the answer seems to be yes, so that's what...

So, I finally bought my first Kubota

It's a 2014 BX2370 bought off the used lot of a John Deere dealer in Kentucky. Since it's seems to be an expectation that you post pictures, I've attached a pic of mine sitting on the trailer on the way home...in the rain. Anyways, since I spent nearly everything I had free to buy it, I need...

Newbie not wanting to make a mistake...

I'm looking to purchase a used tractor and have been doing some research online. From best I can tell, an older BX2200 with a LA211 FEL will fit my needs, but looking for any advice to keep me from making a mistake. I'm looking to mow about 3 acres of land, lift a few things around the house...
