Lx 4020 rops or cab (or 3520 cab)

I have a B, not an LX. But it's massively better than a BX for taking the deck on and off, and I think the LX is similar. I can get it off in a minute, back on in two. But I had to sit down and think how it works, and work out that Kubota actually made it pretty easy once you work out how they...

    Trade

Financially, check the values on tractorhouse. Is it a good idea? Nah. I'd keep the excavator and get a used tractor to go along with it. Going to a B2301 with backhoe is a big step backwards from a dedicated excavator. Of course, you didn't tell us what you're using it for. If you need to mow...

    New here first post

The B26 is a heavier duty B2601. One key difference is that the loader is not removable, and I think I recall no mid-PTO so no MMM. Options are: - B26. The backhoe comes off and you can mount a 3pt hitch kit. I don't know how hard this is, but I have a B2601 and nothing about the 3pt linkages...

    L3901 Advice

I bought an old BX without a loader. Then added a loader. I think I was $2K for the tractor, $8K for hte loader. But a 15 year old tractor with a 1 year old loader is still a 15 year old tractor. The loader devalued by $6K the day I put it on the tractor. It was fine for me, I got a bargain on...

    Opinion on M4900

It is low hours. If legit, potentially a steal. One thing to watch out for on low hours machines that are older is that some people only do the hours based service intervals. Arguably that tractor might have had only one service in its entire life (or even none). The services are supposed to be...

    2009 B2620 upgrade

If you're definitely needing a backhoe, and not needing to mow, then a B26 would also be a good machine to look at. It's the commercial/rental version. The loader isn't removable, but it's heavier duty.

    2009 B2620 upgrade

Position control is the 3pt hitch. The BX, and the older B, had quarter inching. You move the lever up, the 3pt goes up. You let it go, it stops going up. The newer Bs and most larger tractors have position control. There are markings from 1-10 on the slide. You set it to 4, it goes to height...

    2009 B2620 upgrade

The B2601 looks to be a like for like replacement of the B2620. Same weight, same engine. My B2601 goes well. If you're looking for the same thing as your B2620, same weight, same capability, just newer, then yes that is 100% what you need.

    B01 for me?

You're going to be super happy with that.

    Grand L70 series

Loader lift numbers are notoriously unreliable, both because you can measure in different ways (at the pins, at the bucket centre, with the bucket on, with the bucket off), and because even when using the same measurement there seem to be ways to goose the number somehow. I can't really imagine...

    B2301 Model Recommendations

I went from a BX2350 to a B2601. It is a lot of difference. The BX is a tractor that is basically built to the footprint of a ride on. It's low, and it's compromised by that. Yes, the B is basically teh same HP and basically the same width/length. But the 3ph is a lot more capable, and the...

I need another one....older and maybe smaller

The BX is really the smallest real tractor you can buy. Anything smaller won't have a 3pt or won't have a sensible FEL. Kubota certainly don't make any smaller. Cheaper you could do, but you're really just buying an older machine at that point, not a smaller machine. There will be compromises...

    B01 for me?

My use is a bit different, but I do have a B2601 with turfs. I do get traction problems pushing into a pile when the ground is wet. I don't have a piranha bar, and most of the time it's because I was lazy and didn't approach the pile in a sensible way. I've never been unable to do the job, but...

    Grand L70 series

We still get the Lxx40 model here in NZ. Guess they think we won't be prepared to pay what it costs for all those doodads. They're probably right, I'm looking at a Grand L for my new property and they're hellishly expensive.

    B01 for me?

Also agree with this. If you can, buy a tractor with the tires you want. If you can't, buy it then use it. If it is a problem for your use, then change the tires then. Worrying about it beforehand isn't a good use of time.

    B01 for me?

Lawn tires are normally called turfs. R4 are industrial. R1 are agricultural. R14 are the new hybrid tires. I don't know the price, but I do know that there are two ways to do it - buy the new tires and put them on your old rims, or just buy new tires and rims together. And, surprisingly...

    B01 for me?

I have a B2601. I don't find it unstable, and I'm always interested in whether those who find theirs unstable actually know it to be unstable, or just feel uncomfortable on slopes. The BX I had before was much lower so the pucker factor was lower. But I've taken my B all the same places I used...

    A new ride

EVs aren't there for me at the moment. The missus has the dog car (VW Touareg V8 diesel - which you don't get in the US I believe), and she drives all over the country for competitions. That vehicle also pulls the boat. EV not suitable for that use - not ideal for long distance driving...

    Bx to B01 or lx2620

They cost what they cost. I'm buying land at the moment. It's very expensive. It was a lot cheaper 10 years ago. But I'm not buying it 10 years ago, much as I wish I had. I think the real problem here is the low trade-in value on the BX. BX1880 are always said to have quite a bit lower value...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Didn't I just see you taking blocks off another retaining wall? Surely you use those for at least part of this, and then perhaps dry stack the remaining stone on top or beside? (Perhaps use the solid blocks to make a couple of pillars, then dry stack the other stones in between?)
