Must Haves for new BX25D: Shield Plates, Tow Hitch, Fuel Shut & Quick Attach

No I didn't do any mods. Mine works well. Even bent it once, bent it back and all good. I remember putting it together and there was some trickiness to the way to install the latch. If you have the instructions maybe double check that it is installed correctly. The only thing I hate about the...

Must Haves for new BX25D: Shield Plates, Tow Hitch, Fuel Shut & Quick Attach

Thought I'd add a picture of the set up I've been describing. This trailer has very little tongue weight and it works out really well for picking up items with the mechanical thumb and or backhoe then placing in trailer for dumping elsewhere. When hauling dirt I load the trailer and fel to move...

Must Haves for new BX25D: Shield Plates, Tow Hitch, Fuel Shut & Quick Attach

Yeah I hear ya...I don't plan on pulling any heavy tongue weights. It just relieves the need to remove the backhoe to pull anything light duty.

Must Haves for new BX25D: Shield Plates, Tow Hitch, Fuel Shut & Quick Attach

Hello again, I was able to find a way to make a rear hitch work with the backhoe on the tractor. This way I can load dirt directly from the backhoe into a trailer while connected and tow other items without removing the backhoe if necessary. I attached it to the bottom plate of the backhoe...

Must Haves for new BX25D: Shield Plates, Tow Hitch, Fuel Shut & Quick Attach

I have determined that the loader weight limit is 240 kg without the backhoe on the tractor so I'm going to see how stable it is. If necessary I'll add weight to the rear via a three point hitch ballast. Thanks for all that replied.

Must Haves for new BX25D: Shield Plates, Tow Hitch, Fuel Shut & Quick Attach

Thanks Frank, When the backhoe is on the trailer (which i need to use the fel) I can't use the three point hitch. I'll think about your suggestion to mount hitch onto fel. Ken

Must Haves for new BX25D: Shield Plates, Tow Hitch, Fuel Shut & Quick Attach

Thanks Bearskinner, The thing I need to do is use the front end loader to lift full buckets and dump into a 1000lb tow trailer to move dirt out of a tight area and therefore need to keep the backhoe on to offset the weight of the full buckets. I have never tried to lift full buckets without the...

Must Haves for new BX25D: Shield Plates, Tow Hitch, Fuel Shut & Quick Attach

Hey Jetman, I like the hitch set up on the backhoe. Couple/few questions if you could help out.... 1) Any excess stress experienced while towing? 2) What is the most you've comfortably towed? I have a 1,000lb max load dump trailer I would like to tow with it. Should be ok? 3) In the picture it...

Thanks sheepfarmer, tempforce Good to know. I looked at those bolts (mine are currently set even) with brief temptation but opted to verify if the problem was the same with the push blade first. Turns out Blade is same so it seems it is related to the combination of quickhitch (ensuring it is...

HI Bruce, Here is what I found with your suggestions: 1. Measure from the hitch frame to the tractor frame on each side and compare. Height was identical both sides 1 1/4". 2. Put a level on the tractor frame and on the front of the lifting arm to see if they are the same. Turned out to be...

    BX Front Snow Blade options

I have the bx25d and the 2760 with the hydraulic angle kit. My set up is all new and don't have experience with any of it except for moving snow so far....love it and works like a charm. But like skeets said it just depends where you want to spend your money. The non hydraulic angle will work...

    quickhitch attachments not level

Hey thanks for the quick posts. Greatly appreciated! Sorry for not being totally clear. Chucky79 The quick hitch I am referring to is a MALE QUICK HITCH AND SUBFRAME - BX2751 It attaches to the front of the frame of the tractor and then the blade, snow thrower and sweeper are connected to...

I have a bx25d with quick hitch installed and whether it is the snow thrower or snow blade the left side is approximately 5/8 to 3/4 of an inch lower than the right when raised above a level surface. I can lower and apply down pressure to make it ride evenly on the ground but it is causing...
