    Buying tires and Rims ?

I just got off the phone with a local Dealer looking for tires. They no longer get the no shipping deals with Whole Goods. The last set of tires I bought were the BK18/8.50-10 tires. They are amazing. If you get a flat they still run strong. Downside is the valve stem becomes a weakpoint and...

    Doubtful repairs under warranty

In the end the partent shop in Springdale inspected the internals. Nothing was broken, but they found a large glop of silicon stuck in the relief valve making the tractor stall in bypass. I guess this means it could not finish shifting between forward and reverse. Joplin told me there was brass...

    Doubtful repairs under warranty

Despite Coyote Karen in the end it seems to be working out well. I took the tractor to the parent shop with more mechanics than employees at the first shop. The first shop drained the oil and claimed the failure was a wear issue as there was brass in the oil. Before going 95 miles out of my way...

    Doubtful repairs under warranty

Lets just argue because we think we are better. Most of this post was done on my phone. THere are typos li serial number. drop the "0" and that is the serial number. The company that gave me a quote on K2581-11014 read this post and told me about my typos and that he was offering a used case. He...

    Doubtful repairs under warranty

There is a reason for the case to have more than double the cost. Here it shows the application for each case. The upgraded case is priced at $1450 where the standard case is at $550. Do you seriously think there is little difference between the two? It is the reason I chose the LBH model. Parts...

    Doubtful repairs under warranty

For the second time my Kubota BX25D-LBH failed and went to the dealer for repairs. The first time was in the middle of Covid which delayed things months. This time I was suspiscious so I documented things well. I opened the rear access plate to see the PTO damage. I took lots of photos and...

    B2601 "clicking" going up hills

The front rims are weak. When the lugs are loose and you turn or climb a hill the load changes trying to move the wheel on the studs. Since the rim is a 2 piece stamped wheel the clicking is the metal clicking as it flexes. I now check my wheels weekly. Not more ticky clicky.

    second transmission

First transmission broke while using the back hoe in a wash. THe tractor slid down the hill and a large rock poked a hole in the bottom of the case. Rare, but since then I have had an oil leak around the rear PTO cover plate. Today that hole became a mess. The rear plate is broken in 4 pieces...

    Front Loader stuck

Well that was fun. It appears I have some slime in my fluid. Part of the service repair included new hydrostatic pumps and a new case. When I put a flush fitting on one hose it blew out some snot. Checked the other fitting and it too was plugged with snot. I will now have to drain and flush...

    Front Loader stuck

I was moving several large wood biscuits and now my loader is stuck half way up. I can see the hydraulics applies pressure to the cylinders when I move the levers. It seems there is a mechanical bind somewhere. I have disconnected the hydraulics and reconnected them. Nothing changed. All other...

    Easy BX HST fan replacement

My fan is down to a smooth round hub now. I am forced to do the replacement, but at least it is winter and I do not use the tractor much this time of year. Just curious as I found out the fan was gone when doing the 400 hour service. now when I run the tractor after about 20 minutes it sputters...

    Easy BX HST fan replacement

RGK66 what a killer idea. Since mine has been missing fan blades all year I will wait till it is too cold to work then do this mod in the Barn. I think I will add a 1 inch band lip with tac welded nuts on the tractorside for quick on off. THanks as I was really not wanting to do this repair. Now...

    BX25d1 and auger

Another update. After digging several dozen holes everywhere here on my little farm the BX25 can and will dig with a 12" auger. Some areas with heavy rock I used the 9 inch first but for the most part it was a 12 inch all the way. We now use the 9 inch for planting trees and back fill with...

    3pt finish mower Land Pride

Just an update, we went with a Hustler 60 inch mower and left the tractor as it was. What used to take 3 days to mow I can almost do in an afternoon. THe cut is nicer and I do not have to worry about changing out parts. I can run the tractor and the wife can mow. Some days that is nice. When...

    Thoughts on Carlisle WT300 tires

That BKT Skid Power HD Industrial tire looks good. I will look into it more for the next set. I already asked for sidewall design to see if it is any better. At least it is $25 less with amazon and I can have it in 3 days.

    Tooth bar

I have the Pihrana bar and am mixed on it's use. I am getting better with it and have about 200 hours on my tractor. Still the tractor itself is very limited with rock and trees. I have not yet been able to dig out anything over 1 inch or pull rocks out without great effort. It was working real...

    Better tires BX25d

Local dealer got back with me. Pricing on wheel and tire Whole Good Catalog part number ABXR8717 the R4 front tire is $98. One dealer wanted another $35 each for shipping too. So depending on who is selling them it can vary on how good of a deal buying rim and tire. My cost for this last tire...

    Better tires BX25d

OK so I have now cut through 2 front tires. In fairness the shale rocks are real sharp and when it is muddy I sink quick. Still is there anything out there better then the Carlisle R4 tires. They only have 4 ply sides and fail quick. Day to day it is no problem but when muddy I kill a tire every...

    Thoughts on Carlisle WT300 tires

Unfortunately the shale rocks on my farm eat my tires. The ones you posted look lighter on the treads and One Site said 2 ply sidewalls. Hard to tell. My rig is in the shop now for 2 new fronts at $100 each as I needed to finish a job. I am learning less expensive does not always work for me...

    Superwinch with the BX

I too wanted to install a winch just in case. If it works on the front of my Quad/4wheeler I am sure it will work on the BX. I actually wanted both a front and rear quick mount. Never know where the tree or fixed point will be. At 2000 pounds these small winches are great. I never thought about...
