Thanks for the help guys. I have these parts manuals also and the L235 matches up in many cases, but the L1802 has more or a frame then the section that bolts to the engine. I may buy some of the seals shown in hopes that they are the same.

When rebuilding these tractors where are people getting torque valves? Or is this just a tightin till it is tight thing.

I am rebuilding a L1802. I removed the front axle and was looking at the mounts that mount the axle to the frame. Does anyone with a L1802 have a parts breakdown of the mount on the rear side? I'm looking at the seals and thought I may replace them. Thanks

I don't think the filter was ever pulled off. It was a real bear to remove. Hopefully it is just a fuel issue. Yup a Kubota engine to a Daedong transmission.

Thanks for the comments. Talked with my father and he said the same thing about the debris and paint as Wolfman. I did take samples of the first bit of oil coming from all drains to look for water metal pieces and pretty much found none. I'll say I was really worried when I first found this...

Could this be machining debris? After looking more it seems like debris from drilling, etc. Has anyone else seen this from their pump suction filter?

Does anyone know the cross reference #'s for the Gates Coolant Hoses for a L1802? Got hoses from Kubota for a L235 and those don't match.
