    Build me a ripppper

For a deep going ripper like that you may want to incorporate a "fuse bolt" -say the top of the ripper is bolted using a 1/2" bolt and the lower bolt point is a 3/8" bolt -then the 3/8" bolt will shear and the ripper will simply fold up out of the ground if hitting something too solid. I have a...

    Weed sprayer for banana plantation

Thanks Coachgeo, I follow the golden rule of welding; only take photos of the good welds... ;) D2Cat; The pump is mounted on a 2" square tube that is stuck inside my rear tow hitch socket. I made the tow hitch socket to accept the standard 2" square tubing so that I can attach various types of...

    Weed sprayer for banana plantation

Hi all, I built a weed sprayer for my banana plantation, this is for spraying in between the rows -there is approx. 2 meter (7 feet) space between the plant rows and in rainy season the weeds grow fast! The tank is a 100 liter tank I found at a shop, the other day I also found 150 and 200...

    B7100 FEL (& 40T press brake)

From what I can tell (after having spent way too much time online) all loaders for these tractors came with a subframe running from the engine subframe back to the rear axle. I saw one or two posts about tractors with FEL's that were used without subframes and they had bent/stretched the...

    B7100 FEL (& 40T press brake)

Really nice work! Is your FEL made to any drawings or are you making it up as you go? Do you have any subframe going back to the rear axle or are you bolting the FEL to the existing frame only? Cheers! Hasse

    Electric trailer brake ghosts

I was chasing my tail the other week with a 7P trailer connector as well -I had bought a trailer and they sent with the 7P socket for me to install on my truck. Turns out Nissan runs 2 different grounds -that messed me up good and proper; tail lights and back-up lights run off of 1 ground and...

    B6001 ROPS -Homebuilt

Pictures during the build and when finished will come for sure! It will be a little while though, as today I trailered the tractor to one of my properties to do some work -it is parked there until I finish -hopefully mid next week. I really appreciate all advise and help I get here -kudos to...

    B6001 ROPS -Homebuilt

Thanks a lot for the info and the link to the post -even though I have been searching for ROPS on the forum a few times I have never stumbled on to that particular thread. I very much appreciate the information from you guys!

    B6001 ROPS -Homebuilt

Thanks for the photos, I will replicate that fixing method as much as I can. One question; on the right side did you have to do anything to the 3P lever "rod" that operates the valve? On my tractor there is very little clearance there and I am thinking of possibly cutting off an inch or so of...

    B6001 ROPS -Homebuilt

Yeah I have already looked at where/how to attach it, I am thinking of bolting it to the back of the differential (on the sides where the 3P lower brackets are mounted) and have a cross brace up at the 3P top link bracket. I will look for a seatbelt at the junk yard -will see what I can find...

    B6001 ROPS -Homebuilt

Thank you Bart for the information! I have some 2" square tubing here with 1/4" wall thickness -I think I will use that. As I cannot bend the tube I will cut and weld, with a 1/4" wall thickness and chamfered cuts I can lay a double or triple weld for extra strength. Cheers Bart!

Pictures of a B6000 loader subframe

Attached (I hope) PDF files of the front and rear brackets as well as the beam. The front and rear brackets are to be made of 8mm (5/16") thick material and the beam is 12mm (1/2"). I omitted my many holes in the beam as well as the cut-out for the pedal mounts and the hydraulic fitting -by...

Pictures of a B6000 loader subframe

So I finally got time to start building my subframe -I had the front and rear brackets (connected to engine frame and rear axle respectively) water jet cut -the beams front to back I made out of 1/2" x 4" flatbar. The good news; my drawings of the front and rear brackets were spot on and the...

    B6001 ROPS -Homebuilt

Hi, I know home made ROPS are controversial but here in Thailand there is no way I can get a Kubota ROPS for my B6001 -that leaves me with either continuing without or building my own. I use the tractor on pretty much dead flat land -the only "iffy" parts are getting on and off the fields from...

    B6001 jerky clutch

Hi all, The clutch on my B6001 has been a bit "aggressive" since I bought it a month or so ago. I adjusted it the other week as there was a fair amount of "slop" in the pedal and that did help a bit, but it is still quite hard to get a smooth start -especially if I have a bit of revs on the...

    B7200 starter not engaging

Try taking the starter apart and clean out dust and dirt -we had a similar problem with a Volvo tractor back home and we used to tap the starter with a wrench when turning the key to help it pull the gear in place. After cleaning it out it worked flawlessly. I had the same problem on my Toyota a...

    Gauge package, B7100

That is brilliant! Been thinking of adding the same on mine. Can you please advise: Does the oil pressure gauge use the existing sensor that is to lit up the light or is another/extra sensor mounted? Where to add the sensor for the coolant temp? Many thanks! Hasse

    BX25 - Hydraulic Question...overpressure?

The pump creates hydraulic flow and this -if not diverted by you using a valve- is dumped directly back to tank, if the flow is interrupted (deadheaded as previous poster states) then the pressure will increase rapidly until something breaks. As far as I know the hydraulic system has no pressure...

    PTO or engine trash pump?

Re: PTO trash pump For whatever it is worth I have one of the 3" Honda pumps (Honda GPX 160 engine) and I am really happy with it. Here in Thailand that pump new cost me around $340 so I don't think it is much more expensive elsewhere in the world. Honda has a little program you can download...
