    BX2360 overheating......still

Im guessing water pump too. Maybe the impeller is slipping on the shaft. You could remove the t-stat and see if that makes any difference. And while you're there, after removing the t-stat, remove the top radiator hose from the radiator and run the engine and see how much coolant is actually...

What other uses for a cement mixer?

Im in the exact same situation. Got one sitting around but I aint partin' with it. It did a good job when I needed it and Im glad I have it now. Ill use it again someday. I think you should mix some epoxy in it. Why? Because I cant figure out why all the warnings against it on the box when I...

    Diesel Additive

In my pickup truck which doesnt see a lot of miles, I am pretty consistent about using DieselKleen.. Here in Southern California we really dont have a need for any winter additives so thats the only thing I use but I have seen what I believe to be a noticeable improvement in the way the truck...

Awesome dogs / Crazy pets Thread

DAMN these animals for winning us over. They become family. Not "like" family- but real family. And it causes real pain in our hearts when things arent well. DAMN them for being so cute and cuddly and loyal. Been in some real tough spots with some of our dogs of years past. Boston Terriers are...

    Help removing a locking ring

Are you sure there isnt a hole somewhere on the housing where you could drive a punch thru? This is how you get em out on a truck's steering box: https://youtu.be/661ov4GIXAA?t=8m23s Wouldnt be hard to carefully drill a hole if there isnt one...

Any residential HVAC guys on here?

I didnt know they could pre-charge the unit. So after the refrigerant lines are installed, do they have to be evacuated before releasing the gas into the rest of the system? Seems too easy. I seriously considered that but I felt like given the price of the systems (which is pretty...

    PTO Trencher fab/retrofit on BX-2200

I dont know why Ive never heard of surplus center but Im liking what Im seeing. Ramos: Id dont mind sinking some money into the project especially seeing as how some of those gearboxes are <$200.. D2Cat: Hydraulic motor to run the chain? NOW you got me thinking. I just assumed I'd use the PTO...

    PTO Trencher fab/retrofit on BX-2200

Ive got an old Case TL-100 walk behind trencher that broke a gear inside the transaxle so its basically junk. The engine is very old and tired, but the digging arm and chain/teeth are in good useable condition. SO I have decided to get rid of the engine, transaxle, and adapt it to receive some 3...

    BX-2200 lower PTO doesnt work...

No I havent figured it out yet. I skimmed thru the workshop manual but it was of very little use. I am anxious to fix it but right now, there are a few other much higher priorities (like the wife is 9mos pregnant, etc).. What exactly is yours doing?

tractor won't start after replacing hydraulic pump?

Yeah either this or its a bad pump. Sounds like something caused a stoppage on the pressure side and its putting too much load on the engine. First time, it started because there was a little bit of air and it had to prime, then it built pressure and tried killing the motor. Shut her down, then...

    BX-2200 lower PTO doesnt work...

This seems most plausible. I wonder if this tractor was a mower for the first half of its life and has worn something out.. Its either mowed for 500-600+ hours, or zero hours. I dont see any tell tale signs either way but I assumed it had never had a mower attached. But it did come with turf tires.

    BX-2200 lower PTO doesnt work...

No matter which way I engage the PTO, I get the same results. Regardless of PTO setting, engine speed, clutch engagement timing, etc... Whats strange is that there feels like there are 4 detents in that lever. If you watch both videos you can get an idea of what I mean. There are clearly 4...

    L275 4wd Catastrophe

If all sources are exhausted, I would get serious about a saved search on ebay.. The part will probably come up as used or sometimes as NOS, sometimes part of a larger assembly that is being parted out. You may have to be broad with some of your search terms but I have found some PRETTY obscure...
