Mower Deck Won't Move Up or Down on BX1870

Does your deck lift once the 3pt arms are all the way up? If so, all is normal.

    Kubota filters...

Just kind of where the world is at these days. One comfort is that if the filters are branded as Kubota, they should be manufactured to their specific spec's. If not, that is on Kubota.

    Aging Beef

I have no doubt they were (are) Choice. I sure don't know everything but to keep it short.... Our family has been in the beef game for five generations. My sixteen year old son has been competing in beef showmanship and market for five years himself, and he is part of that fifth generation...

    Aging Beef

Sorry, the steaks you have pictured are 'Prime' by today's standards. There are actually eight different grades for beef, but only three that are commonly used by consumers. Those are: Select, Choice and Prime. Back in the '8o's when heart health came into vogue, beef got the snot kicked out of...

1st try with the bush hog

The 1870 wheels accommodate turfs and R1's, no problem. If you want R4's, the sizing on the front is an issue. At, that is what Kubota will tell you.

    Lock On Grease Coupler

They are both quality products. The LnL is easier to unlock but the Univer needs less room. If a guy is only going to have one, it depends on how many tight spots your equipment has.

What type of respirator (if any) do you use?

So, respirators 24/7 is the recommendation? If the size of the sprayer is what counts, how about an Apache 1720 with an 80' suspended boom or the good old Flexicoil 67XL with a 120' wheeled boom. Those are 1,200 and 1,500 gallons, respectively. I think the least healthful/highest risk scenario...

What type of respirator (if any) do you use?

Filtered Cig's: Pretty sure that was meant in jest. Hazardous Chemicals In The Wind: Really? If conditions prevent the chemical from hitting the target, you don't spray at that time. Point taken in regards to needing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE's), though.

    Aging Beef

If that beef is Select, I'll eat my hat. I don't eat hats and that meat will grade Choice+ or better day-in and day-out.

    L2501 - What can't it do...

L2501 - What can't it do... Well, it can't take you offshore to catch tuna. That being said, it can get you through your chores in a timely fashion. That leads to more time being left for fishing. The title of your thread leads to some pretty 'deep' contemplation...… :D

BX1880 Rodents chewed through Hydraulic Fluid hose?

Well, you're right. There is a fair amount that will need to come off to gain access. However, you won't be getting into anything complicated. Use your phone to take lots of pictures and have Kubota's exploded diagrams printed off. While you have things exposed, put a fuel shut-off valve between...

BX1880 Rodents chewed through Hydraulic Fluid hose?

Just my own opinion but, I think pointing the finger at the dealer is a bit of a stretch. I only mentioned the KTAC insurance because it's a crazy policy that covers just about anything.

BX1880 Rodents chewed through Hydraulic Fluid hose?

Don't know anything about the lawsuit. However, if you have insurance through Kubota, they will help you out.

    What's cookin' boys?

We have a huge, ancient upright freezer converted to a smoker. I built a fire box that sits underneath where were all the mechanicals used to be. This still gets used for large batches. The pellet grill has smoker duties for batches of jerky up to 8 pounds, wet. Does a nice job and is closer to...

    What's cookin' boys?

We bought a pellet grill two Summers ago. Played it safe and saved the propane grill 'just in case'. Have not used the propane grill AT ALL. If there is a drawback to the pellet grill, it would be the time between turning it on and being to temperature as well as shut-down and remembering to go...

    Need advice on BX1880/2380 purchase.

We have a BX1870 and I reckon Atitus has it nailed. A 54" MMM wont care if it's driven by 18 or23 HP, either one is more than enough. If rototilling or snow blowing are the #1 priority, the 23 would have an advantage IF the tiller/blowers are the same size as you would run on the 18. If you put...
