    L-47 vs L4060

Also fun fact, this is the same B2650 that is pictured at the top of the forum. It's seen a lot of use since then.

    L-47 vs L4060

Thanks guys. One other bigger digging project with the house build was for the 1000-gal underground propane tank.

    L-47 vs L4060

Interesting read, thanks for posting. For a couple years now I've been thinking about a Kubota L47 for general work around the property and maybe some side gigs here and there. Last year we finished having a new house built. I wish I could have had the L47 for that. I dug a lot of stuff with my...

    B2650 Oil change interval

Thanks guys. I've been going with the 200-hour interval, but then saw the WSM stated 100 and I was more just interested in why they have the WSM conflicting with the owner's manual, as in is one or the other an error or is there a reason the WSM would call for twice the frequency of oil changes.

    B2650 Oil change interval

Hello, Wondering if this has come up before and if there's an established resolution. I have a 2019 B2650. The owner's manual says the OCI is every 200 hours, while the workshop manual says every 100 hours. Do we know what's correct?

Damaged SSQA plate, good lesson learned

When I first came across that video I checked out the comments looking for hilarity. There wasn't much, but I saw at least one comment that implied they moved there from California..

Damaged SSQA plate, good lesson learned

Agreed. That was the first one I've seen of theirs. It's more amusing than anything. Their daughter seems like a good worker though.

Damaged SSQA plate, good lesson learned

I kind of had that thought regarding all the laughing about it. It's not the end of the world but I don't think I could bring myself to laugh about it. I'd be far too embarrassed and mad at myself. But hey, it got them clicks. Still, while I'm pretty careful about making sure SSQA attachments...

Damaged SSQA plate, good lesson learned

When I saw the title of the video I had low expectations but I was curious. Turned out to be a little more interesting than I anticipated. Just gotta fast forward through the first 9 minutes of "other stuff".

Damaged SSQA plate, good lesson learned

Anyone see this video? It's old so maybe this was done before. This guy bought an LX2610 and with two hours on the meter damaged his SSQA plate. He had forks on the loader; the locking pins were in the down position but the forks were out in front of the pins, so he lost the forks. When he tried...

    BH77 not working right

Yep, mine is the same way. Honestly I don't notice it as much when operating, when I'm running at higher RPM. But I definitely notice it when I first start it up. Sometimes if I park it outside and it gets rained on, when I first fire the tractor up, I have it near idle for it to warm up, I'll...

    Axle Straps

I've chained to the step many times, but I really probably shouldn't. I could weld something on but I don't particularly want to. I'll find some other system.

    Axle Straps

Interesting. Yeah, bought mine in 2019, it does not have those.

Tow strap recommendation for tree removal?

Agreed, rope is handy for a lot of things. While ratchet straps are the go-to for most people these days for securing the smallest of things, I tend to use rope. But for pulling logs, you really can't beat a chain for a variety of reasons.

    Axle Straps

Is that a B77 backhoe? Did it come from the factory like that? Mine doesn't have those.

Tow strap recommendation for tree removal?

Personally I strongly prefer chain over straps or cables. I'd just get a 20' length of chain; coupled with what you've got you'll have 30'. Chain doesn't fray and then have wires that can poke you like a cable. Chain isn't as easily damaged when pulled along the ground like a cable or strap...

For those with a backhoe, what's your preferred tie-down point on the rear?
  18. P

YES!!!...Just buy that damn thing....One more good reason to buy a back hoe......

I've used my backhoe for a lot of stuff, but most commonly drainage projects where I'm digging in clay. When my builder asked me if I could dig those garage footers, I really didn't know what to expect. Told him I'd give it a shot, but that shale might be a bit much for it. But it dug through it...

    PTO Chipper recommendations

Thanks for the reply. I think you misunderstood the 'slow' part, but I didn't clarify it well. Also I'm not the OP with the 30 acres. My intent was to accumulate mulch by chipping up limbs and such as needed. Basically as trees come down, cut them up for firewood and chip the little stuff for...

    L47 TLB bucket question

Off topic, but mind if I ask how long you've had your L47 and how you like it? Probably going to be quite some time before I can get one, if ever, but it's appealing to me.
