L3010 HST - no dash lights - will not crank

Can anyone confirm or deny this? Is this knob labeled 'stop' actually a compression release?

    Float Help

This was exactly my confusion, I read in a thread here somewhere that the bucket would detent. This makes more sense. I will try it! You guys are a wealth of information. Thanks! It makes more sense to float the arms anyway, I was beginning to wonder why you would only detent the bucket. The...

    Float Help

Yes it is. But i don't know if it's actually in float... how can I verify? I just want to be sure I'm not tearing up the asphalt or the bucket.

    Float Help

So on our L3010 HST, there is a float position, all the way up. If I bring the loader up say to test, the loader just returns to the ground, the bucket doesn't drop loose. Should it? I cannot tell if its loose when its on the ground, the front up the tractor raises up an inch or two. The...

    Heater Question

Bob, I would tend to agree. When all my glows were working I didn't have a problem starting my trucks at any temp, lowest I tried here was -9. They were DI's though, I have never owned an IDI. I have only the word of the previous keeper to go on, and I have enough faith in him to know to cycle...

    Heater Question

Old school tractor right there! Can someone help me with float for the FEL? I pushed the stick up into what I believe is float, but the arms press down and lift the tractor up a bit. Is that what its supposed to do? I cannot tell if the bucket is in the float position because of that.

    Heater Question

Why not go 100% and drain and heat the oil? lol Those are some cold temps. We average 15-40 here in the winter, it's all over the place. Lot's of ice, snow melts if you have a warm day, and freezes at night. We usually get a few snaps in February and it will hit -10 F give or take. I have an...

    Heater Question

Thanks Wolfman, I will take a look and see how easy that plug is to get to. When you say left side, you are referring to what would be drivers side in a vehicle? I have had to do the hairdryer thing when my PSD had 5 dead glows at +10 F. Starter fluid for me is a very very last resort, unless...

    When to shut down

Diesels are real fuel sippers, especially at idle. As someone mentioned, safety is the other issue where applicable. That's one think I love about diesel, tons of torque, low rpm power band, and uses almost half the fuel as our Zero Turn 23hp Simplicity. The Kubota is a 30hp diesel.

    Heater Question

Excellent. Thanks. Assuming I choose to do this myself, which freeze plug does it go in? And is there an air bleed procedure for the coolant? Also, I assume so, but does this tractor have a thermostat?

    Heater Question

I see. Long story short, this subdivision was built about 30 years ago out in the country with little to no codes. Self proclaimed experts did a lot of wiring and plumbing. I am certainly no electrician, but what I have seen so far is astonishing, and it's a miracle nothing has burned down. A...

    Heater Question

Thanks, good thought on the battery. Overlooked that. Supposedly its new, but it does sit a lot, obviously with no maintainer. I haven't called the One Call place, I'm aware of it but was told the lines weren't tagged 15 years or so ago when they were put in so it won't work. I'm "told" the have...

    Heater Question

Want to thank everyone too. This is a nice forum, just joined, no flammers. everyone pitches in ideas and seems open. Bit about me, I am an IT guy, technical, and love DIY. I really wish I had more time to spend on the property. We have a 55 unit subdivision with a private drive, 40 acres, we...

    Heater Question

I completely agree. I do plan on placing a wind block of some sort, haven't gotten that far and figure I could do it on the fly. Probably tarp, and yes, I guarantee the other guys won't tarp it. Or remember to plug it in. I would much prefer a block heater, we may examine that solution in a...

    Heater Question

I could use the mag heater, but the tractor will be outside when its plugged in. I have heard there is a gap between the heater and the pan, so the transfer is less effective. I would imagine wind would make it worse, and I have seen reviews where they melt. Those reasons and this is an HOA...

    Heater Question

We have an L3010 HST. I am looking to attach a pad heater, but it has one of those odd W shaped two drain hole oil pans. Can I attach the 4"x5" 150 pad heater to the side of the pan? Or will that cause uneven heating to one side of the block and pose danger or additional wear? My other option...
