Hi All, I changed out my in line fuel filter on my L5450, one that isn't supposed to be there as far as I can tell. Anyway after changing it the tractor won't start. I'm in CT and in the middle of a cold snap but did put additive in the fuel so it won't gel. The motor cranks fine but won't fire...

Thanks again for the help. I probably should buy a manual but then I wouldn't be called out on my SH!t...no I didn't clean the tank yet. LOL :D:eek:

Hi All, So with the advice on my last problem with my tractor wanting to stall on hills I bled the fuel line and now I'm going to change the filter. I have a L5450 and not sure if the bowl holding the fuel filter unscrews from the top portion or do I have to hold the top part and then unscrew...

Hi, I would say 96'. I think your machine is a 5140 and pretty sure they made them from 90 to 96 or 97.

Thanks Ismurhpy. I'm getting a new filter and will clean the fuel tank. I didn't let it sit that long the previous owner must have. :eek:

Hi All, Only sometimes with my L5450 in reverse going up hill the tractor chugs out then stalls. I then have to wait a few minutes before she fires up again. Almost like its out of fuel but I know it has a full tank. I live in Ct and I'm new to the tractor and only operated it in cold weather...

My tractor won't start unless the PTO lever is disengaged and the clutch pushed in, after the tractor starts should i engage the PTO even if I do not have anything hooked up to it? Thanks for the fast replys and sorry for confusing people....

Hi all, I recently picked up a L5450, The PTO lever has a safety switch so the PTO needs to be disengaged to start the tractor. Should I engage the PTO after the tractor starts and operate it with the PTO engaged? I heard this saves on the clutch? Thanks.

Hi, I have a 1 yard size bucket for a L5450 and would like a stock size.

Baltimore Maryland is nice, lot of history and a pretty of cool port town. DC is a close drive.

I have an oversized bucket that I think is 1.5 yards. Looking to trade for the stock size, any suggestions on a good web site? Or anyone out there on this one that would like to trade? The LA1150A loader is on a L5450 tractor.
