my EV crystal ball was right, again

EVs aren't for me. It doesn't bother me that others use them. Just don't force it on me. And, don't make me pay for yours. I do think EVs are a fad. They will be replaced by technology that works for the consumer and for the environmental goals. For me, today, they are just a different CFL...

Thanks all for the kind words. Leo felt bad for me. He always cheers me up! LOL--he actually climbed on and became a 100lb lap dog. :sneaky:

Awesome dogs / Crazy pets Thread

What a week. It began with a kid going too fast down our street, losing control, taking out a corner of our fence before slamming a tree. They were ok but the new to him truck was totaled. Then we lost internet. Fought with ATT for a week. While I was at the neighbors to call ATT (no cell...

The dog rolled the rtv x1160. Really the dog jumped in and trounced on the accelerator, up a tree and on its side it went.

I haven't had any problems with Leo and the RTV because we prepared! Here he is waiting for his driving lesson. 🤭

What are we (OK, some of us) becoming????

They delivered today-9 names drom wh3n I ordered.. I was at 4% I had turned the furnaces off since it was a balmy day-in the 40s. I wanted to save the fumes for tonight. Whew. Drivers told me that they were 300 delveries behind. The office whined about the volume of calls due to the storm...

What are we (OK, some of us) becoming????

I had pellets when I lived in MA. Loved them. I would buy what I needed in the summner. I never ran out. The house was toasty warm all the time. Oil was my backup. I intend to do the same here with wood pellets as a primary and propane as the backup. I have had nothing but negative experiences...

What are we (OK, some of us) becoming????

Eight degrees this morning. I am adding long pants and a sweatshirt to the overcoat and hat to go feed. In a bit of a worry mode waiting for the propane delivery today. I hope it doesn't get pushed back again. We are below 10% if the gauge is reading corrently. Using propane for heating is...

What are we (OK, some of us) becoming????

It was 15 degrees in central Alabama this morning. The governor declared a state of emergency yesterday ahead of the blizzard (0-4in of snow across the state.). I rolled out my snowblower and pointed it north to ward off the snow gods. It worked. We only got a dusting of ice here. 🤣 I'll admit...

I am sorry but I don't have specs. Here is what it looks like: And the switch I put in the dash (above the light switch): I had most of the parts laying around in the garage. I guess I took after dad--never throw anything away--might need it some day... :D I did buy the mount support plate...

What to make out of the corrosion showing at around valve stem?

Geez, from the title, I thought valve stem as in cylinder head…. 🤦‍♂️ I think that I am spending too much time in the innards of my motorized toys.

    GR2707 snowblower

A hose from the mower lift cylinder is extended to the front, near the snowblower. A second hose from the front goes back to the lift cylinder. When the mowing deck is on, the two hoses up front are connected together to operate the mower lift cylinder via the handle on the left. When the...

    Insurance Increases

When I moved to AL, I got quotes from my existing company (MetLife) and USAA. Both were double the cost of the policy that the previous owner had (Allstate). I went with Allstate for the home, 3 vehicles, umbrella and specific personal property. It has, of course, gone up a little every year...
