Tractor Advice- 96 acre Recreational/Timber Tract

Okay...here she is! Delivered about 10 am and got in about 5 hrs of road grading with the 5' LandPride GS1560 Grader...dropped the scarifiers down and went to work. Made a good start on my roads as I made a dent on about 3/4 mile of dirt road...took out quite a few gulleys and moved some rocks...

Tractor Advice- 96 acre Recreational/Timber Tract

The specs on the Kubota L3200/L3800/L4600 brochure as well as Kubota website both indicate a 4 cylinder engine on the L4600. Both the L3200 and L3800 share the same 3 cyl engine. Here is another link also indicating 4cyl on the L4600...

Tractor Advice- 96 acre Recreational/Timber Tract

I went back and forth between the L3800 and L4600 all weekend. The main thing that sold me on the L4600 was that I got a great deal ($1600) on a new 5.5' disc harrow that weighs 850# with 20" discs (Hardee D-18-1620 3" tubular frame) and I felt like the extra weight (about 800# with bigger FEL)...

Buy On March 31st or April 1st??

No haggling but I hit it off good with salesman and bought from a higher volume dealer (that has a great reputation) further out in the country and they were about $750 cheaper than the dealer closer to city who quoted $25,039 for same package on L4600HST with same FEL.

Tractor Advice- 96 acre Recreational/Timber Tract

OK so I pulled the trigger this morning. Went to the dealer fully intending on buying the L3800HST. Test drove the L3800HST with FEL and was very pleased with it. Very tight steering on it and manuvered great. It was parked next to the L4600HST which I was also interested in. I liked the 2in of...

Buy On March 31st or April 1st??

Checked out the L3800HST and L4600HST today. Loved the L3800 and was very happy with it. Salesman told me not to get on the L4600 unless I was prepared to buy it. After driving both the L4600 was like driving a Cadillac. L4600HST with Kubota 764 FEL being delivered next Friday. Cost on the...

Buy On March 31st or April 1st??

Quoted $24,795 for the L4600DT with Kubota LA764 FEL and standard kubota bucket. I believe to add HST cost another $1000 but I will check next week as I am not sure the $24,795 was on the HST or DT...don't have all my notes with me right now. The price did include the $500 discount for Kubota vs...

I am going to go ahead and pick up a L3800HST or L4600HST next week...my dealer says he might get some notice that last week of March but cant imagine prices coming down off on what I was quoted. Plus they still dont know the prices on the Grand L series replacements but they are going to be...
