    GF1800 Wiring question

The previous owner removed the dynamo and installed an internally regulated altenator. No idea what the output amps are. I'm guessing more than the OEM dynamo. Regardless, it is charging the battery per my handheld voltmeter. The charge light on the dash does not work. Does anyone have a wiring...

    GF1900 Restoration- Winter Project

This one (of the 4 I've owned) is by far the best. And 4x4. My plan for the winter is to pretty much strip it down and refinish it from the frame up. One thing I'd like to get is the serial number label. I've talked to dealers about getting a replacement, and the local ones don't seem to want to...

    GF1800 Fuel Shutoff problem

I've checked the wires, replaced the fuel pump, WSM states 20ohms resistance, had 3ohms. And a new shutoff solenoid. Starts and runs just fine, then the solenoid starts rapid cycling causing a miss and power loss. Sometimes at idle, it will shut the engine off. Then it will be fine for a while...

    I did it again!

I got a smokin good deal on another GF1800 mower. Wouldn't start. Got is home and it took me an hour to get it running. Bad starter. 972 hours on it too. It runs great, but won't shut off with the key. Getting no power to the shutoff solenoid. I'm guessing the combination box, that's where the...

    Piston Marking? D1105

D1105, Pistons all have a Letter "C" stamped into the top of them. Any significant meaning for this? Bores all appear to be standard size. Does Kubota mark their pistons with the oversize as most others do? The rings on this one are stuck in the pistons- big time. Rather than fight them out...

    GF 1800 PTO output Shaft

Lost the front bearing on the PTO output shaft. Found it after replacing the seal twice. Pulled it apart and found there is a groove in the shaft where the seal rides. Has anyone put a speedi-sleeve on a PTO shaft to repair it? A new shaft is $200, and a speedi-sleeve is about $50.

    part number interchange ?

I'm looking for an ignition switch, Kubota part # 67980-55150. It's $100 from Kubota. Are there any part numbers that will interchange? Got to be something out there that will work for less money. GF1800 with a D722 diesel. Positions are off, run, preheat, and start. Thanks

    GF1800E (2WD) PTO seal

For the 3rd time the PTO output seal has blown out. Any ideas what's going on? The vent seems to be clear, correct amount of oil. The Kubota seal is one of those with the rubber around the OD of the seal and honestly, I think it's easier than it should be to drive it in. Anyone have any ideas or...
