    Quieting your garage doors

Yes. And the mats might actually be heavier than the foam, so might need more tension even without it.

    Quieting your garage doors

I had the good fortune of massively quieting the metal panel doors for my future shop with these butyl sound deadening mats. It even dampened the noise from the sloppy wheels etc. Highly recommended! My intention was to make some effort to minimize shop noise escaping, and hoped for the side...

    What's cookin' boys?

This trick could save you some painful cleanup, which I'm sure is not fun on the road. I found sheets of parchment paper that fit our air fryer basket exactly. Cleanup now consists of wadding it up and throwing it away. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08HRHXLBL You would think it would impact the...

    Rain in fuel tank.

Left mine off before rain once too. PITA draining the tank, so now I've made a habit of setting the cap in the seat. Not sure why I couldn't just develop a habit of replacing the cap. 🤷‍♂️ I just used the fuel on burn piles as well. Good luck, Greg

    Heron?

I forgot to ask, what's the story with the fire plug that disappeared? Part of the water feature? Pond looking very nice BTW. Greg

    Heron?

I was introduced to some artistic protective options by a neighbor who contacted me about fabbing one for her koi pond. She provided the first pic as an example. I didn't take the job but now wish I would have. I personally like this option better than a net, but obviously a lot more work...

Reasonably Priced brush guard for L series and MX on Amazon

Thanks again for the heads up. I probably would have fab'd something before paying $300ish. I was overdue as you can see. Now nobody will know...except half the internet... Greg

    Dog Food Recipe

Kudos to you for doing this. It takes time/money/effort to get a good species appropriate diet for your pet. I have similar regrets about not doing it sooner and feeding them standard crap food in the past. We've seen serious health benefits though. I could go on about this topic. Greg

Photo shoot anything lately? Random Photo Thread

Pulled up the plans and the wife instantly said she wanted one. Will look further at the site, thanks. Camera inside would be quite cool, assuming it got occupied.

Photo shoot anything lately? Random Photo Thread

For the longest time I only got snippets of owls flying off screen. Glad to have gotten these. Would love an operational owl box! I put up a bat house for the wife years ago, but never got any takers on that... Greg

Photo shoot anything lately? Random Photo Thread

Been slow getting through some of my footage. These are from April. A barred owl had started feeding in this area. Daytime hunting in the spring makes me suppose there are owlets to feed as well. Greg

    Well "Blow me down!"

Very nice. Scraper head looks super effective. Feather in your cap that the wife ordered a second one! And yeah, all the wire brush style scrapers I've had have sucked and/or not lasted. The "OKest" one I've found wasn't really a brush, but still not as effective as yours looks...

    Frankenfittings...

Yeah, I'm with you on the valves. I'll def replace with 1/4 turns. I'm not interested in having them fail again when I'm too old to want to mess with them! I envision extending the new "PEX core" out to include those valves. Hadn't considered valves with bleeders for the spigots. I'll tuck that...

Nice! Yeah, those jacuzzi tubs tend to just take up valuable square footage. I developed all kinds of pinholes in a previous abode with polybutylene, on city water. We have a trailer with polybutylene but it's on a well, and zero issues there. We're on the opposite end of your water pressure...

    Frankenfittings...

I had to look up the "drum trap". Never seen one of those! WRT the polybutylene, hope you're on a well at least. To be fair, for us the rest is primarily copper with gate valves to shut off each area. Although those valves do need attention. With only 2 prior owners since the place was built...

For your entertainment. Just upgraded this section of plumbing in our new old house. Materials from right to left: PEX Galvanized Brass Copper Polybutylene Rubber hose! Been keeping me up at night since we bought the place a few months back, primarily the rubber hose... Greg
