    B3300SU Fluid Change Confusion

My filters showed no sign of metal, including the screen. I wonder, does your old unit have a screen? Maybe that's why the used a magnet in the filter?

    B3300SU Fluid Change Confusion

So a friend says I missed including and important fact about this situation. He claims I cooked the fluid when my radiator failed. Ooops? More likely the reason for the dark oil? It ran hot for ...don't know how long. Lost the radiator. Luckily I had been stopping every 10-15 min to cut...

    B3300SU Fluid Change Confusion

I'll have to look for that. Don't readily see it yet. So how much time should the fluid sit in the tractor? Does it need to be an annual change? One would think Kubota would say so, if so.

A magnet? I pulled the screen and there was no metal on it. Rubbed it with a magnet to verify. No gunk either. I guess I'm ok. Turns out that UDT2 is not really clear. If you pour it in a white bucket, you'll see it is actually quite opaque. Not black, but definitely not clear either...

    B3300SU Fluid Change Confusion

So I was wondering about the performance of the filter and more particularly what has caused the hyd oil to go dark. I do not do a lot of heavy work, mostly mowing pastures and some dirt/gravel/mulch spreading. I'm wondering now if age had anything to do with it. There is no time interval...

    B3300SU Fluid Change Confusion

Well, "black" is subjective. Not clear. As a diver I'd say low visibility. Like maybe 1" of visibility in a bucket. On the dip stick it still looked clear. But when in my palm or bucket it showed how dirty. It was actually when I changed filter I noticed it. Was going to wait for the 400...

    B3300SU Fluid Change Confusion

I wish. I did engine first and all was normal. Fluid was either original or done by a Kubota dealer. It had 99 hrs on on when they "serviced" it. Either way, it was done per specs. "black" may be overstated. More like gray, but obviously not clear.

    B3300SU Fluid Change Confusion

Dang these manuals could use some rewriting. I thought I was changing the fluid for the HST transmission and filter like the manual says, but now wondering if I'm changing the hydraulic fluid! Yeah, it's really the same fluid right? But the manual never says that. It lists two different...

    B3300 Radiator Stick Damage

Anyone devise yet a skid/protection plate for the radiator? A stick ran through the bottom and knocked off the drain hose plastic nose. Looks like a plate should be protecting that delicate area. They have a flimsy aluminum that easily jammed up against the fan belt also. Yeah, I got lucky, I...
