Fort Wayne Clutch called and said my clutch and pressure plate are not service able and they can provide a new aftermarket set for $225 plus $40 shipping. A google search shows aftermarket clutch sets for $139 and up. Is there a preferred aftermarket brand?

Clutch wasn't bad looking but I did measure one rivet depth at .007 from the minimum spec and as long tractor is split I'm replacing everything. Too bad the throw out bearing doesn't have a grease fitting.

Wow this thread took on a life of its own! Got the motor out and apart. The only damage was 2 pistons scored. There was some deposits on a couple of main bearing journals but the machine shop said it came off during the polishing. Parts are on order, probably be a month before I have it...

I went to the dealer shortly after and they couldn't give me an exact quote because I didn't have a serial number for the motor, they did say 3700-5400 ball park. I located the serial number yesterday so I will go back to the dealer. I'm sure I can overhaul for less than $3700.

I saw metal flakes on the on the bottom of the drain pan when I changed the oil after the incident. I did keep a sample but didn't send it out.
