Re: Some Scams Are Difficult to Detect....

Interesting! I've had the opposite experience. Craigslist is a sea of criminals, scammers and tire-kickers. You waste 99% of your time trying to find an actual non-scammer who actually wants your...

Re: BX Lights! & Thanks!

I was pretty intimidated as I had never done a wiring install like the lights. I actually found it to be quite a bit easier than I thought. I ended up wiring to the "always on" wire in the back...

Re: What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

That makes me feel a bit better. I dont cut Oak often and I had to cut down a few of these logs and it took more effort than I thought it should. The pros seemed to have just the right...

Re: What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

UHG that would have been a great idea and so easy if I had asked the company to leave a few longer!

Re: What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I ended up with one nice 3" round slab that is in good condition crack-wise but as you went up the trunk even 8" up from the stump the center crack was almost the entire way across.

It would have...

Re: Let it snow!

Non scientific but I think its going to be a big winter here in the Northeast. Last time we had acorns like this was prior to our last 100" season and last winter was abnormally quiet on the big...

Re: What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Had a 90 year old massive oak that split over a road and had to be removed. I kept everything for firewood. Used the little BX to move tens of thousands of pounds of wood that I'll split come...

Re: B2650 Bagger for Leaves

I have a cyclone rake and its the best I've found since it has a huge hopper, its own engine and shredder, etc. The real only downside is that it hangs fairly rigid behind whatever you pull it from,...

Re: Front end loader bx2680

Agree on RPMS. When I was first using the loader, I was very jerky as I had never used one before. I solved it by lowering RPMS until I got more proficient in feathering things.

Re: Tractor Arrives Tomorrow

Brutal! Nothing like anticiaption deflated by a missed delivery. I cant tell you how often I get SO upset waiting for a package I REALLY want only to find out the UPS driver didnt even knock or...

Re: First 50 hour service overkill?

Wow! I had a tiny, single piece of that grey gasket stuff and other than that a tiny, tiny volume of metal fibers i blasted out. It was effectively clean. I wonder based on how hard you use the...

Re: First 50 hour service overkill?

So interesting! I posted the canadian as its just one i could find online. My US manual for a BX I bought last August has tranny change at 50 and the service chart itself looks very different than...

Re: First 50 hour service overkill?

Interesting debates on the trans fluid at 50. I stick to the manual and my BX1880 manual explicitly says to change both the filter and fluid at 50. Since I assume this is what the shop would do,...

Re: Snow blower mods

This is an interesting idea. If you had a drill with a separate forward/reverse and not sharing the same button with a switch to flip the direction, it seems you could figure out some easy switch...

Re: I ordered my new BX2380, thanks for the help.

I wish I had haggled for a WSM for my 1880 as I like doing work myself whenever possible. It costs a bit and feels odd paying for a piece of maintenance material but I "Get" it. I havent found a...

Re: I ordered my new BX2380, thanks for the help.

Rules:
-If you have a kid, you must post obligatory "in awe" pic or them seatbelted in pretending to drive it.
-If you own a dog, it should ideally be somewhere in the picture

Bonus points:
-If...

Re: New guy, first tractor, cant decide

I was in the want vs need category and very quickly realized I dont "need" the vast majority of the things I enjoy using. The things I pay extra for make my life easier, give me enjoyment and are a...

Re: Snow Plow Options For BX1870

I agree and would say maybe even further depending on the RPM you are running. I had to turn mine down as I was throwing snow so far in small storms that it was leaving my property 50+ feet away. ...

Re: Puff of Black Smoke

Totally different environment but I was shocked to see on "ice road truckers" up in northern alaska and canada that they run the trucks 24/7 because if they turn them off then have to be towed into a...

Re: Do most Kubota dealers just charge MSRP?

THIS.

Dont pretend like the dealer is some poor soul and you're stealing from his kids asking for a discount. Its quite clear there are wide differences on discounts and they are either within...

Re: 50" vs 55" snowblower (front) for BX.

100% agree. I have a BX1880 and I can drop the blower off and have the FEL on in less than 15. Once I did the front hitch 2X it takes less than 30 seconds to pop on and off...just two spring loaded...

Re: What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Is there someplace you can go to get a complete list of whats needed to do this 50 hour service myself? I know what processes I need to do via manual but cant find a parts list. I suppose my dealer...
