I wonder if you would feel any greater resistance when you reached the binding point....

There is no feel in this operation. Once you determine the proper setup values (and record them so you dont forget) the process is mindless.

If you look up Jesse muller on YouTube he has some great videos a few months back on making hydraulic hoses with DHH gear, not sure how similar to vevor but his came out great and you may want to return the vevor and get on board with his similar equipment

DHH sells micrometer crimpers starting at $4K for a hand pump unit. That is out of most Harry Homeowners price range. Certainly out of mine.

And then you can try to figure out a way to get it out after over crimping the shell.

4000 psi of hydraulic fluid would remove it and test the crimp at the same time .

He does have a lot of equipment so I see how it’s worth it to him. hoses add up pretty quick for ROI
