Hi, I have a strange issue with my Kubota GR1600 Mark 2. For 20 mins or so it works away cutting going forward but as soon I press the NMR switch and start to reverse, the blades cut out and the tractor dies. If I wait a minute and start again going forward - the blades reengage and everything works fine - even in reverse with the NMR switch depressed the blades will keep working!!. But this can happen again 15 mins later or so!. It cuts out 3/4 times every 2 hours or so - any guidance or help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Many/most riders have a safety switch to prevent mowing in reverse. I think some have an override on the dash.

That function didn't last long on my Huskee by MTD.

The Kubota Reverse Awareness (KRA) system logic is complicated and involves a electronic controller and rmultiple inputs. A trip to the WSM is indicated.

Now just guessing - is that a lighted latching switch? My first thought is its not maintaining its signsl.

Thanks to everyone who replied - it was actually the rear sensor button being pushed on/off by the grass rear deflector when I went into reverse. I had to tighten the rear deflector with cable ties to stop this from happening. So I fixed this issue myself
