Bxpanded makes a skid plate that should cover it.

Have the BXepanded plate on the BX2380. Easy to install. Easy to remove when needing to access the area. But, not compatible with mid-mounted mower. Bit clueless about how the mid mount mowers attach. But, the plate uses at least couple of the mower attachment points. You will need to remove the plate to mount a mid mower. Just a couple more minutes of fiddling around. Wouldn't run the BX "off road" without the plate. Minimal ground clearance in these SCUTs and it sounds like replacing the cooling fan is a PITA. Only takes one twig to fly up into the fan to result in damage. Saw that Messiks has or had an aftermarket replacement fan that looks easier to replace once you initially remove the damaged OE fan.

OT: Recommend the BXepanded's quick on receiver hitch if needing to tow anything. Easy on and off. No need to leave your trailer ball permanently on and allows for proper rise, drop, and choice of ball sizes using a receiver. Unsure if BXepanded charges extra for shipping if adding to a plate order. Might be an opportunity to save a few $$s. Unless no need for towing anything.

I use the BXpanded plate, 2 bolts come with it to mount to frame and they do not interfere with the MMM operation. Remove the MMM, attach the plate, simple on / off. It is heavier than I expected which is a good thing. At first I thought it was pricey but after getting it was glad I did.

Just installed the BX under armour plate today after installing the Messicks 2 piece replacement fan blade. Not easy if you have fat hands, but at least you don't have separate the ends of the driveshafts. Shipping was super fast.
