I finally fitted my v-3507 with a new PTO and was all excited to test it. The manual say the lanyard needs to be 6m and not to operate from the cab……only thing, no matter what I do, when my a$$ leaves the seat with the PTO engaged, the Kubota shuts down.

user error…. what am I doing wrong? Lol

Two answers:

1) There is almost certainly some way to run the PTO without being in the seat. The procedure specific to your tractor should be in the owner manual.

2) Most likely, if you lock the brakes, get off, flip the seat forward, and then engage the PTO, it will run without anyone in the seat. If that doesn’t work, see 1 above.
